What kills me about these products is that I feel just about no one makes a quality one. Every manufacturer for some reason wants to create an "all in one" device that is somewhere between an easy bake oven and a somewhat useful appliance.

I wonder why they don't add on heat controls on these things, I know they're probably trying to keep the price down. But a good heat control knob and a timer that actually works would go a long ways.

gimmicky gadgets like this are made as cheaply as possible with as few electrical components as possible. hence the timer not having any rotation and the temp control on the griddle being an on/off current. adding useful functionality would cost them extra.

Fun fact for the day, how easy an egg peels has nothing to do with the way it cooks. Fresh eggs are difficult to peel, a week or more old eggs peel easily. That's because the inside of the egg shrinks a bit while in storage. So if you want to always have easy to peel eggs, just let them sit for a few days!

The thing with toasters if you ask me, is that it all depends on. Is it a cold toaster or a warm toaster. On mine the first time I put bread in it in the morning. I have to set it to level two. However, if I am making additional toast after I've done that I have to set it to one or it burns. So in my experience, whether or not the toaster has been used recently determines how Brown the toast is. A cold toaster takes longer than a recently used warm toaster.

Thanks for the in-depth honest review. About 6 years ago I purchased something similar to this from Amazon mainly to make sausage McMuffins. It was able to cook the muffins but the egg cooker wasn't cooking properly or cooking at all. I ended up cooking the eggs and round sausages in pans to get it done. Cooked 1 muffin out of that thing and that was it. The timer didn't work too like yours.

Me too. I don't really see the point. Ok, it looks nice but it takes ages. Imagine a breakfast for 2 or more people. A good pan and a pot can do all of this and even quicker. And you don't need to study a manual and tinker with tiny buttons.

I noticed when you did the bagel and meat... when you showed the bagel in the toaster just after the bacon and sausage went on the pan, the bottom and top of the bagel were against the heat. The inside of the bagel was on the cool side. It looks like it would work better with the top and bottom facing each other. That might have been the issue with your English Muffin during the first test. Also, thank you for clarifying the "Canadian bacon" part 😂 I'm from Canada and looked at what you threw on the grill and was like.. tf is that? That's not Canadian bacon! It gave me a good chuckle that you jumped at clarifying that 😂 Thank you for another honest and great review!

I must take aim at what you show as your toast test. I recently bought a KitchenAid toaster, and, as I like a fairly dark toast went and cooked multiple pieces of toast to get my desired darkness. however, when it came the next morning, there was a significant difference to the darkness compared to my tests. Do you allow a cooling off time between your tests or are they back-to-back, as this will definitely have a difference in the toasting and will ultimately skew any result.

I have a 7 inch by 7 inch "frying pan", with two round dips for eggs, and a large dipped area for bacon or steak, etc. Use it all the time!

I wonder if the grocery stores there even sell peameal bacon (which don't even use peameal anymore, generally, but cornmeal).

I think the idea of the breakfast station is great, but it would be even better if everything cooked evenly. Something like a breakfast sandwich machine is very limited in what one can make with it, but at least everything cooks evenly and comes out nice and hot.

Hey James! Summer is coming up (eventually) and those nasty mosquitos will show up again…could you review the Mozz Guard and perhaps 3/4 others to actually see if they work and which is the best one out there, if any? I only trust your reviews…thanks!

I regularly go to conventions, things like this help keep food cost for me low. Food at conventions is about a high as at an airport. That saying, I would like one that works well and is affordable.

Based on all of these breakfast stations, this one was probably the most consistent where the cooking surface was concerned. The pancake and the breakfast meats proved that. And the steaming feature actually worked! I still wouldn’t buy one, but at least this one actually did what they said it would.

With my reg toaster, I have to set it higher than plain bread for the english muffins...so not too surprised at the results from the different levels on the toaster.

Feels like with the timer, it was something that they caught in the final stages of testing, and was like. Lets just stick it in the manual so it's a feature.

Toaster at level 4 was already preheated from the previous tests and the eggs boiling at the same time. You should try it again at level 4 from cold

This thing would have been kickass when I was homeless staying at motels. You really begin to feel the strain of eating nothing but microwaved or cold food after a while.

Toast on 4. Put peanut butter on it. I like it that way. Also it would depend on the thickness of the bread.

This thing would be pretty good if it had a decent timer and a little bit better toaster. Neither are expensive or complicated products. Mind blowing that they didn't spent 10 extra bucks to get it to a level that everyone who goes camping would buy one.

Flawed but I could actually see this as a traveling mini kitchen for car travelers. We are on the road, staying in cheap motels about 10,000 miles every year. Being able to cook a serviceable breakfast in your motel room could make the road miles bearable. Could probably do an OK sandwich too.

If you preheat the toaster then it will make the next piece of bread much darker. That’s why #4 is already burnt. And that’s why level #1 and level #2 are noticeably different although they stayed practically the same amount of time.

It'd be great to know if such a project, if well made and not for a nice markup, would be possible and be long-lasting. Sure they'd probably be a TAD larger for more technical components (temperature control etc) but for people who actually want an all in one solution ? The only problem I see is at a certain point it becomes more expensive and not worth it
