@@rahulroy5206 bowling @ 150+ at nets with old ball will help our batsman to play reverse swing as it became deadly at such pace. For swing we have quality new ball bowlers but fast rapid pace does create trouble at test level more. Umran needs to have better control & bowl at right areas...thats it.

There is so much difference between a 145kph and 150+ Kph.. once a bowler can hit 150kph consistently then he is a different cattle of fish ..a complete a wicket taking beast and takes the pitch of out equation .. the batsman simply doesn’t have enough time to play shots apart from very few high quality players .. he can be a wicket taking force

@@Max_Y_ totally agree. His body needs time to build strong muscle. In test he need to learn to bowl fast in few spells and go easy at 145+ do survive and remain injury free. No one is considering his heights.. I guess around 5'10"...wjeras usually we hv pacers with height of 6'2" + and are strong. This kid will kill his shoulder. He needs lot of mentoring

Playing someone who can bowl with express pace is not an issue now a days. There are many bowlers who have a capability to bowl over 140+ kph average.However, being able to bowl with lateral movement is a key if someone want to serve for extensive period.

Bowling at 150s is good from time time, but if a bowler can bowl in the 140s repeatedly, it is good enough for India. None of our bowlers now can do that. So it is inportant Umran trains hard...

Mohsin will have to perform for atleast another season in order to get selected. That's the basis which is seen whether you are able to maintain your performance. Barring Umran other bowlers were selected over two or three season performance. Even Umran came into reckoning a bit last season itself. This is not Pakistan where bowlers or batsman are drafted into the national team after just one good season of PSL and later on they are found out in international

Donno why after many yrs. One bowler is drawing attention of whole world. Young boy from no where from streets of Jammu. Playing taped tennis ball. No experience at all in 1st class and ranji or any domestic matches. Coming as short net bowler with help of Abdul samad into srh camp. Shocking the coaches with his bowling. And retained and his 1st season with 22 wickets and emerging player of season. And getting eyes on from Brett Lee. Shoab aktar and all legendry cricketers in world. God had brought umran for Indian team. In coming days Indian fans are gng to cheer up and go crazy for a bowler at stadiums. It's umran malik. He is learning he is getting better day by day. They need to make sure not to over bowl him and protect those knees. Fast bowlers especially at his express pace are susceptible to ACL tears. He seems to have a solid physic. If he can control the ball at that pace he will be unstoppable.
