YES! KZfaq started recommending a trending video that I made a month before vlogmas and that video is now sitting at 350k views. I went from 100 subs at the beginning of vlogmas to almost 7k now. Before vlogmas I only had about 10 videos on my channel, so as I was consistently uploading it told KZfaq to push my videos. SO GRATEFUL!!!!

I did, it actually seemed to have negatively impacted my channel because my Vlogs were too diverse. My videos that usually perform really well took a big dip and I think it’s because KZfaq is confused on who my audience is. Well, so am I, so that makes sense hahaha. I am having such a hard time figuring out what target audience to go for

Uploading more frequently is one of the BEST way to grow your channel. The more videos that you upload, the more likely that one of your videos will EXPLODE! But the biggest thing to take away from this is make sure that you're uploading QUALITY content alongside your QUANTITY. Who agrees with me? :D

honestly I don't think uploading more is the best way 😂 consistency is farrrrr more important, so is engagement and audience retention. But if you're thinking about uploading 2 videos a week instead of 1, yeah, that does give you a better chance of growing faster!

@@termino2469 content type matters. Your type content may benefit from more frequent uploads but your CPM is likely much lower than other content types

I'm uploading videos on a daily basis for 2 months already. The results: my views tripled, got x5 reach and more subscribers. In my opinion, uploading daily videos not only help you to get more people interested in your videos, but help you to grow your skills at making those videos.

Personally as a new KZfaqr I stopped doing that as well. Mainly because I don’t even watch every single video a channel post. In my opinion It Dilutes the value of the content & creates outside stress in my life. I post 2-3x a week and it brought back the joy of creating my videos and I want my subscribes to be like “oh there she is “ because trustfully I get annoyed seeing the same people on my timeline 7days a week.

I started my channel recently and one thing I definitely figured out is that consistency is very important. Whenever I missed the upload I could see the next few times I uploaded that I had significant drop in regards to views and subscribers. Doesn't matter if you upload once a week or every day, just respect your uploading schedule 😃

WE REACHED OUR 4K VIEWS BECAUSE OF VLOGMAS! We didn't see much exponential increase in subs, and our videos on average performed more poorly than other videos... BUT... as a whole, we improved as content creators and optimized our whole video creation process. I think for small creators daily vlogging really is a GOOD WAY to improve your skills and learn engaging storytelling --- also our watch hours improved by a factor of 1.5!

Vlogging daily sounds EXHAUSTING!! You did so well with that! ...and in the end it’s great you know for sure how maybe it wasn’t so worth it. I’d much rather spend the time to craft a weekly video properly than burn out trying to create daily videos too!

Consistency is key 🙌🏾🙌🏾. Love that. I upload 1 time a week but I’ve been able to do it consistently for 4 years. I recently had to miss uploading due to a surgery but when I came back I gain 18 new subscribers. I haven’t lost subscribers. I’m glad to have seen this. It just confirms I have to be patient. Thank you for sharing.

In the long term you’ve got 30 more videos in the KZfaq warehouse that “could” continue to perform, but the video you don’t make never can. Seems potentially worthwhile if you love doing it. I did 30 days in a row last year and for me the takeaway was learning how to produce videos more efficiently. Not views/subs.

This is great information. Thank you. I was uploading consistently for 4 months and was steadily growing. Due to my job, the next 2 months were very inconsistent (1 upload in December and 3 in January after uploading twice a week for 4 months). That proved to me how important keeping to a schedule is. I've been back on track with uploads since Feb 1 but my overall numbers still haven't recovered. I appreciate your transparency Catherin!

This helped me out so much Catherin as I toggled on what my consistent upload schedule should be. For now, sticking with Tuesday and Thursdays to keep an engaged audience. You are one of my fav influencers to follow right now as I just launched my channel on the 21st and in my first 5 days, got to 100 subscribers. It's what I call the Casey Neistat effect. By uploading every day, especially if you interweave the stories, it makes people want to check the backlog. Doesn't work for everyone, but if you are a good storyteller and can take the grind it can really boost your channel...even weeks/months/years later.

Great video, Cathrin! Consistency is what it's all about. My advice to anyone starting out is upload as often as you can consistently. The quicker you can iterate through your first 50-100 videos and ideas, the better you'll become at making videos and figuring out what works (like Cathrin mentions with the vlogmas thumbnails towards the end: daily vlogging was a great way to figure out which ones work best for the channel.) When I started, the most fun aspect of KZfaq was how much I would learn in terms of speaking, editing, sound, filming, lighting, etc., after every completed video. Developing a passion and curiosity about the process and seeing that personal growth is fulfilling. This year, I'm scaling back to one video per month; it seems like whether I do more or less, there's not much of a difference. Burnout is a real phenomenon, as well as exhausting the algorithm and exhausting your viewer, too. Quantity when you're learning, quality when you've built an audience. Anyway, thanks to anyone who read this and congrats on your success, Cathrin; I've been watching since the early Content Bug days. Thanks for all of your candor. Cheers!

I Definitely think consistency if more important than quantity. People are creatures of habit so even if analytically it doesn't do anything you are definitely creating a habit for your subscribers witch is also why you should always try something for at least 30 days. It's proven it takes 30 days to create a habit. Love your channel and watch every video 🤗💗🤗

I think you can grow your KZfaq by uploading every day, but you need to be consistent. 30 days is maybe to short to get the first results. If you see it in the long term you need to test it again in another month. Try a month in the summer! You can have a good A/B test to see the results. Nice Video!

I upload 6 videos a week but they aren’t vlogs and I don’t find it to be that crazy. I plan a day a week for content creation. I think blogs daily could definitely be really hard but because I don’t do blogs it seems less stressful. I really enjoy filming and editing it is something I really have a lot of fun with so that helps too. All in all I think it depends on the person and the content you’re uploading. As long as you can keep consistent, keep great quality, and have fun then do it! Just from a different perspective but great video as always!

Do you think the exact time matters? I upload every Tuesday between 11am and 1pm or should I focus on the exact time every Tuesday?

I did vlogmas too and it was hardcore work for me! 😂 Analytic wise I didn't have a lot to compare to, but I think I learnt more than ever the effort and love you have to put in to a video! It takes so much more time than you think! 🙈

I upload my videos two times a week... It's working quite well for me! As it gives me flexibility and my audience some space so that they don't get bored watching me...✨✨

I feel like it’s probably about the same sort of results for everyone that did Vlogmas. I did Shortsmas, on my other channel, which was considerably easier but shorts are still controversial. Lol and I probably lost more subs than I could have gained. Who knows! It was fun to experiment but I don’t think I’ll do it again.
