When I worked as an estimator / project manager for Paul Davis a preferred contractor a simple water damage restoration would take months to repair due to the lack of skilled sub contractors. Their policy was to get the sub to do work and wait two weeks to get paid, even though Paul Davis had been paid in full for the claim. Management could care less about the homeowner, just greed on their part, plus I seen them burn out great subs holding back payments so the sub would just refused to deal with a shady company. I actually quit my job when they refused to pay a sub that help us out after I fired a sub that was caught smoking weed and drinking on a job, they were shocked but would not correct the problem. I worked many hours for about $ 600 a week, that was 6 years ago, so I opened my business selling and installing kitchens.
