I'm about to take life on the road next month visiting 48 states with my shih tzu! I'm excited and nervous but definitely a goal of mine.

@@DoggyU yours was one of the first Wayfarer tour videos we saw. We have since actually visited their new Reno location and met with Ian. He and the Reno team were great, and the quality of the kit was even nicer than we’d expected from videos. We can’t wait to hit the road in our own!

Very few US National Parks are dog friendly. Canadian National Parks are very dog friendly. Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, Waterton, the Canadian side of Glacier- of course not the US side 😠. Nova Scotia National Park. The best in the US is Acadia in Maine. And I hear the new National park in WV is fairly dog friendly.

While many aren't super dog friendly, I've been to many dog friendly national parks with my dogs: Acadia is very friendly, but there's also Great Sand Dunes, New River Gorge, Mammoth Caves, Indiana Dunes, Congaree, Cuyahoga Valley, Shenandoah, Hot Springs National Park and Crater Lake. I'm not sure if White Sands still is after converting to a National Park but we really enjoyed our time there as well!

What do u mean by "Dog friendly?" Are u talking about wildlife and insect? Were there any in the desert and the waters?

Dog-friendly means any pet dog is allowed in the park. Many national parks do not allow dogs anywhere besides paved roads and campgrounds.
