Dogs Pink Floyd reactuon music video. This is surely one of the most powerful PF songs that i have personally heard.
The message resonates with humanity and is something we can all learn from.Getting eich or successful by all means is not always the way to go.
And remember, theres always a price ro pay.
This was 17 minutes of a musical experience one again by Pink Floyd. And a song is never complete without the guitars of Dave Gilmour.
Enjoy this reaction and experience.

Nice reaction and analysis, Harri. This classic album was loosely based on George Orwell's novel, Animal Farm.

You got it dead on the money! That's exactly what he's saying. "And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone." "Bad blood," referring to all that dog eat dog, back stabbing behavior. The "stone" he's referring to is repeated in other songs on the album. Interestingly as well, in the bookend songs, Pigs on the Wing Parts 1 and 2, he identifies himself as a "dog." I mean, you should really listen to the whole thing, but, yes, "deep" is an understatement for this entire album.

the Dogs in the album are the ruthless cut-throat business men, but I like your extended analysis. it can be anybody who thinks about life in this manner... with "dog-eat-dog" being their #1 philosophy. Regardless of economic strata. A cautionary tale for us all. Great reaction Harri!!

David Gilmour's guitar sounds so nasty and emotional in this track. This song was originally planned to be used on their 1975 "Wish You Were Here" album under the name of "You've Got to Be Crazy" along with "Raving and Drooling" which became "Sheep" for the "Animals" album.

Did you ever hear the story Harri that one of the Battersea pigs broke free of his mornings and flew up to the height of the flight paths. A pilot of one craft was flying his plane when suddenly a big pink pig came into view in front of him

As you suspected, they were a bit like Led Zeppelin - with no singles released (in the UK) between 1968 (Point Me At The Sky) and 1979 (Another Brick In The Wall Part 2) I always enjoy reactions to the songs from this album - 'Pigs (3 Different Ones)' and 'Sheep' from side 2 are also well worth a listen!

Floyd is one of those epic, foundational, time-defining bands that comes along on such a rare occasion. They created their own genre with their artful, psychedelic, deep socio-political music, and from the first album to when Waters left, the level of greatness was off the charts.

With their success of Dark side of the moon - they purchased a new studio. Unfortunately they had difficulty with the new equipment and the outcome was this album with and a very different sound. My favorite Pink Floyd album. Very dark and I love it!

Great reaction. You got it. Just for the future, be careful not to cut off the end of songs. On this track you stopped the music in the middle of the Fermata. Just don't want you to miss stuff. Please go back and listen to the fermata (at the end of course). But besides that little thing really enjoyed this one.

Harri, have you noticed the difference between sounds of barking dogs before "... stone - stone - stone..." and after that words? Before - you hear them when you're still alive. After - you hear from under the grave stone.

This is easily one of the greatest songs of the last sixty years. What resonates with me most are the verses Roger sings at the end of the song describing how this lecherous corporate man came to be. Almost makes you feel sorry for him ("who was born in a house full of pain")

If I were a time traveler, I would take you back to 1988 so you can 'experience' them in concert as I did. Only problem is you might not want to go back to 2021, like go see the Beatles after and that would violate the Extragalactic Time Travel Accords. Then they'd take my time machine away! If I were a time traveler, that is. ✌️😁

Drowning by stone is a direct reference to a fairly common way of "putting down" dogs down in pre-vet days. Dogs that were too old or sick and no longer "useful" to their masters were typically killed by drowning. You'd take him to a lake or a river, tie a large stone to his neck collar and drop him in the water. I know it sounds awful. But back then drowning was a rather common and efficient way of killing an old dog, certainly less messy than trying to shoot him or other methods. (Today we typically just kill them quietly in a vet's office or a pound with a lethal injection.) So the song compares the deaths. When our hard-edged businessman (the dog, a predator by instinct) becomes old, sick or useless to to his master (the pig), he'll be gotten rid of that way, drowned by a stone. With the extra twist that the stone tied to his neck is made of his own stone cold blood.

wait for listen to Pigs and Sheeps. And remeber that PF in 70's created concept albums, such as Animals, Wish you.., Dark Side, The Wall, so it's unwelcome to listen to their songs selectively :-) (I'm joking)

Here is the historical background behind the Animals album: In 1976, the United Kingdom was swimming in troubled waters. Mired in an unprecedented economic crisis, Anglo-Saxon pride is battered by a rescue of the F.M.I. Musically too the country is lagging behind, having succumbed to the disco wave and it is ABBA a Swedish group that outrageously dominates the podium of the charts. But that is nothing compared to the tornado that is about to sweep over the British establishment. The punk movement, this new protest movement from the United States, will permanently shock a part of British society by rebelling against the archaic values that rule it. Titles like: (Anarchy in the U.K) sum up all punk thought, they all cultivate, besides this hatred of the system, that of their elders (rock bands) whom they consider finished and good to throw away. With Pink Floyd at the head of the gondola, which sabotaged the true values of rock and its three chords by making it too intellectual and sophisticated. To the point of finding Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols) walking down Carnaby Street flanked by an "I hate Pink Floyd" t-shirt. Wounded in his increasingly voluminous pride, Roger Waters decides to deliver his point of view (philosophical anyway) on the new world order. The Animals album will be a social review inspired by a work published in 1945, The Animal Farm by George Orwell (also author of 1984). The In The Flesh tour that followed in 1977 was also famous for the Montreal concert where Waters spit in the face of a spectator, which led him to want to erect a wall between the stage and the audience: the birth of The Wall album.
