I missed the old Qatar.. I came here November 2001, it was Ramadan and at first I felt so uneasy because of the do's and don'ts but people are friendly and truly the safest place I've ever been. I'm still here with my family. The video is nostalgic. Qatar my second home away from my home Philippines.

100% agree, it looks confusing and artificial now, the newer developments erasing their history. I went back in 2020 after not being there since the latest 90’s and it was a huge shock.

خرجت من سورية بنهاية شهر 5 و وصلت لقطر بالباص سنة 2001 و كان الجو حاااار جداً بالنسبة لأجواء سورية المعتدلة الحرارة و بعدها تعودنا عالحر و التقينا بناس قطريين محترمين و طيبين و أسسنا شركة و قلنا يا رب و بعدها الحمدلله صارت قطر أعز من سورية عندي و تزوجت و أنجبت أبنائي كلهم في قطر و الحين و بكرة و دائماً نقول الله يعزك يا قطر حكومة و شعب

I was 11 back then. I miss the old Doha, everything was clam and peaceful. Now we barely exist in our own country. :(

Wawoo that's great. An Awesome video recorded of its tym. This was the tym when I was 21 and Qatar was as simple as we saw in the video. Anyway thanks for posting this video , our memories which most of them are aren't available in the present tym. God Bless. Takecare Always.

Very few cars, buildings and very few people on the road. Looked very calm. Also you can drive with holding your phone 😊

Look like a little " village". Very simple and modest. Surely better, more real. But Doha today is always beautiful. Not like Dubai.

قطر مختلفة جدا ، لكن الكويت لم تتغير منذ غزو صدام الآن فقط أصبح شارعها أكثر ازدحامًا وقذرًا يمكن القول أن الكويت لم تحرز أي تقدم مقارنة بالدول المجاورة لها مثل قطر والإمارات

@@empireiranpersian9875 Iraq turned from rich to poor after 1980s. Kuwait was most developed till 2008 after which it stunted n now is getting poorer. No more d3velopments in 🇰🇼 after 2007
