The plaintiff brings her ex-boyfriend to court. She argues the defendant never paid rent when they lived together, stole money from her, and even took cash out of her bank account. He hasn’t paid her back, so she’s suing for rent, stolen money, and bank overdraft charges. The defendant says he never even lived with her, and the defendant is just upset because their relationship went bad.

I believe that the plaintiff was just as much fault about the rent, as the defendant was because he said that they weren’t paying the rent because they were too busy going out all the time. So they were living footloose and fancy free until he decided to end the relationship then all of a sudden she wants to act responsible, after letting him go for five months of not paying his share

Can we stop blaming these people for buying love? A lot of what people are doing stems from how their parents raised them. Many times the parents could only express love by giving constantly. And people like the plaintiff enter relationships with this type of behavior. It’s hard to unlearn.
