Honestly, me too! I mean, I guess putting pockets into a seam and following a very simple tutorial on how to make a curved line instead of a straight one probably isn't all THAT advanced, but it's definitely the sort of thing I'd have thought twice about pre-wedding-dress-disaster. NO MORE FEAR! RAAAAR! 💪

I'm a teacher, and when I look back at my old lessons from years ago, I have the exact same feeling. I'm sure they're not as bad as you think. May I ask, where about in the North are you? It's so rare to hear a northern accent on here! We're from Huddersfield (near Manchester) so fellow northerners!

Hi, so glad to see a Crafter's Log! The updates on your various projects are always my favourite. It feels like chatting with a friend. ☺ I'm excited for the cross stitch patterns you're designing and really like the black lacy tops you're putting together. Also, your Eurovision dress was really nice. I confess I also buy a lot of patterns (although for me they're cross stitch ones) never know when I'll actually have the time to make them. 😅 It's been a long time since I've cross stitched though, and while I miss it I also find it stressful at the moment, but I know I'll come back to it eventually. Anyways, right now I'm just focusing on making wire trees as I'm really enjoying trying out a bunch of different techniques. 😄 I hope you have a good week!

It's been a month and a half and I'm still a bit in shock lol, seriously what are the chances?! Although ext time we go (which I am assuming will happen at some point, fingers crossed) I'll have to step it up with some face paint and glitter. Was still somehow one of the less dressed up in attendance 😅

What a great catch-up video! 😊 There are so many good/funny parts that I can't talk about all of them in a comment! 🤭 "Cruise witch" was by far the most unexpected, I love it haha! You're creating some lovely items of clothing, I especially love the skirt + top with the green leaves! 🥰 Also loving seeing you create some cross-stitch patterns yourself! Yes I totally put there as artful scenery and not just because....where the heck do you keep a wedding bouquet? Lol. I'm an absolute sewing whirlwind at the moment, at least by my usual standards, so hopefully will have a lot more cruise (witch) wear to show off soon too!

Had to give this a rewatch after your recent Eurovision cross stitch post. That kimono dress with the flags has been on my mind! So cute. May have to try this and catch up on Eurovision stateside. Apparently Finland is always a bit out there? 😂

Love the progress on your projects! Maybe I need to be more determined with just doing a bit here and there whenever I can instead of waiting until I have a big chunk of time. Maybe id make more progress that way....hmmmmm

Woo! Welcome back! The lemon top sounds (and looks!) tasty! I love cute food patterns! I don't know if you can buy it separately, but I wonder if DMCs fluorescent yellow would be bright enough for you. I am terrible with social media. I want (and probably need) to get better. Instagram has been a headache for me for years and never worked properly on my phones. Then when I started this youtube, they wouldn't let me make a new account at all without sending a video with personal information and I just ran the other way. Made a reddit that I comment with plenty, but never post because I get hung up on all the different subs' rules. I tried to look into mastodon when twitter was first imploding (not that I used it much because it's a void, but I was encouraged by the idea of a new platform being populated), but got so confused by all the instances (?) and couldn't even figure out which one to make an account on. Then I got distracted and forgot all about it. Maybe I should give it another look. I'll probably still be rubbish at using it, but you never know.

Oh don't even get me started with Instagram right now I swear, half the time I can't even reply to comments and it's not like I'm on an outdated phone! And now that Reddit is imploding too I've been spending a ton of time on Lemmy which is currently very janky and wild west and "the internet in about 2007" lol it's very exciting. But yeah social media is somehow the best and the worst all at once, I find. As far as Mastodon goes (in case you do decide to try again), on my gamedev account I recently used their feature to move to another instance and it worked flawlessly so tbh I don't think initial choice is even a big deal. (p.s. flouro yellow sounds like it might be just the thing, thanks!)

Nice to catch up with you and your projects! You're going to have your Satsuma Street project done before I get mine done. It's looking great! Just a heads up that 24 Hocs is coming up July 21st -23rd. Love all of your projects and I'm glad you had a good time at Eurovision. Have an awesome weekend!

Haha, I totally looked up the dates of the next one while filming this and put it in my calendar so for once, for this one time, I am actually informed in advance! Of course there's also a local knitting group on on that Saturday, and a game jam too, so....we'll see lol 😅

@@TheGiddyStitcher There's always Friday and Sunday for stitching and you need a break from the game jam once in awhile right? You could make yours a 24 hours of crafting instead of cross stitch and then the knitting would count.
