I lost my nina (my grandma/godmother) a couple years ago and I still break down every once in a while. Especially around/on her birthday and holidays. She was my second mum and best friend and the loss of her just tore me. Tbh I am in a bit of denial at times so please take all the time you need to heal. Lord knows life is tears and happiness. Suffering and pleasures. Just know that you have a whole community who loves you and misses you and we will back you up! I know exactly how you feel, Haley. I went through a similar situation - my Grandmother's passing last year in September. We knew she wasn't doing well, and we felt "ready" for it, but honestly, I didn't realize how long the grieving process of loosing someone so close to me was going to take.
