Before replacing the windshield wiper motor, it is worth trying to test other components of this system. The fuse , relay and the wires might go bad before the motor itself will go bad . This procedure might be similar with many Mercedes from the year 1998 to 2006 - w203 w210

This was a really great video these how to car Guy videos are better than almost anybody. My motor worked except that it was spinning but not turning the shaft. It turned out that the Teflon gear inside the motor had gotten stripped. I found one on eBay for $20. I replaced the gear inside the motor and everything works now thanks to this video! Except for the Minor details omitted this video is better than almost anyone else!

Great Bro!! You helped me. Thanks. In my case, all did works before I changed the hood, after few day I want use windscreen wiper but don't works nothing, the hood was closed, I checked rele and fuse they were work, motor too. I been begin to crazy. At finally, watching your video in the part that you use screwdriver to simulate the hood close. I had the illumination, so I prove to do the same thing and everything come back to work. The closures in the hood don't doing good contact so it seemed how the hood was open so nothing it works

Thanks for the video, currently stuck checking the wiper relay (Q) not getting a response. Unsure if motor faulty or multimeter not sufficient! Any suggestions?

Great video. Too bad my front is working but the rear doesn't :) I suppose it should be similar in terms of testing the relay and the motor? I did checked the fuses. Thank you!

@@doit_vehicles Very proffesional, i am looking for some information to try to resolve my problem with the windshield wiper that star runnig when i push the combinated switch only to turn signal switch and then dont stop, stays running. To turn it off y must to stop the car, shutdown the engine, go out the vehicle and push down, around 1cmm, the wisper, then i can start again and the wispers dont move, till next turn signal light!!! ¿Any idea?

Just came home to an undercharged battery, recharged it and after getting car started found wipers don't work after turning switch. Completely dead. Going to trouble shoot with your guide. Great work. Thanks. By the way, my window washer is not working from before, anyway to troubleshoot it? Apparently there's no fuse??

I made all the test and the motor works but when I test pin 1 and pin 2 which is the switch I did not get the 12 volts . I suspect my problem is the multi switch . Please give any other suggestions thank you !

Selam friend When I press the wiper arm, it sprays water and wipes, but it does not work in 1,2,3, positions. I removed the cable of the rain sensor, the result is still the same. Fuses and relays are OK. I changed my arm. Could it be from the engine? How many volts should the wire have to change the speed?

This video was really good except some little details were missed. There are some washers and rubber bushing and rubber dams around the edges that were not covered at all. It wouldn't have lengthened the video by more than one minute to have included those. I found it I needed to add a lock washer to the motor shaft where the 13 mm nut holds it to the wiper assembly. I am still unsure where the big rubber washer went but it doesn't seem to be that important.

Any idea how to calibrate wipers? Mine hits bottom plastic and driver side pillar!

it's all about removing the cover and reposition them until they move corectly

Does each side have a different motor? Watching your video it appears one motor operates both. In my case only the passenger side motor is not working. Aldo, what is the “bonnet” that some people mentioned?

If applied 12v on the brown and green connector and wipers doesnt move does that mean the wiper motor is bad?

Hi it was fues and it works now thank u very much but My esp is on sadenly with it and tail lights er behaiv wierd is IT the break swich or ground problem thank u again for your time
