Garland's DOJ placed 1400+ charges for Jan 6, and 1000+ convictions. He brought respectability back to DOJ. He has 2 indictments in flight for Trump. If Merrick Garland had started the investigation from day one, it would have been seen or claimed to be purely political. But once Trump announced his candidacy, Garland had a justification for appointment ting a special council to “avoid the appearance” of it being political. And now Clarence Thomas is trying to say that appointment was illegal. Garland did his job and if you think he should have been quicker you are being blind to the current political climate.
