The crazy part is that us South Africans dragged the sh*t out of Dumisani when we found out that he abandoned his children and their mother. Like, all our lives this man was a national star and to grow up to find out that a man with his fame, position and means willingly left the family HE CREATED made us insanely angry. Especially knowing that many South Africans grew up fatherless, so many people saw themselves in her. Yet, he has the gall to post her pictures and like her posts? We should drag him again!

@@pareeshaslaughter6798 why get pregnant for him in the first place then...? Or maybe it was one of those cases where he only showed his true colors later? A lot of men do that sometimes. I just think its disappointing how many of our kids grow up in a one parent household. It might take a strain on both the child and the parent. It's not easy at all. For anyone. I do hope you have a lot of help with her though. Children that grow up without fathers, however, are found to suffer more from more mental health issues than those with fathers. Children don't necessarily need a father figure, but I believe it's best to have more than one person they can look up to in times of need.

I feel bad for Doja because she has talked about this for years. She’s never met her dad. He’s always been uninterested in her. Until the point where she has become successful and famous then he shares things about her on social media. She leaves the door open for him, but he still makes no effort on meeting her or getting to know her. People like to talk about her, not wanting to be black or half black or whatever. But perhaps this is a lot on why she is the way she is. Not making any excuses, but she relates to things that she’s been surrounded by which is her mom and whatever her mom taught her. Her dad is a famous person and he still chose to not be around or get to know his daughter.

Dumisani is already famous and a successful actor in SA, he doesn't need to capitalise with Doja's name. @PennyPastor-yk1cg so what? It's not like we South Africans know all American actors...And how do you expect him to be popular worldwide when he mostly acts in his native Zulu language? @@esotericchocolota so are you saying that I'm not supposed to be a fan of him despite him being a good actor just because he's a deadbeat father? Come on, I can't hate his good acting skills based on his personal life, even tonight I'll be watching one of the film he starred in on Netflix... And most of us only got to know that he's her father around 2019 or 2020 when Doja revealed it during her interview with whoopie Goldberg. And me being his fan doesn't mean I support what he did to his ex wife and children... There are many American actors and musicians who are also deadbeats, but you guys still support them because they're good actors and musicians. What we should be doing is encouraging peace and forgiveness between Doja and her father... Because her tantrums won't help her with anything right now... So far Dumisani acknowledged his wrongs and didn't deny being a deadbeat father and he even apologized publicly.

6:59 It’s think the origin story of VM and her BD is deeper than that. I saw an interview of her saying he was actually her trainer or someone who worked at her gym and the way he ended up her video was cuz she didn’t have a guy and last minute asked him since he was cute 🤦🏽‍♀️😭

I honestly feel so bad for her. I know she's probably hurting on the inside. The fact that she tried to reach out to her father numerous of times when she was younger only to get rejected by him. He never made an effort to make arrangements to find his own daughter or try to meet her in person to get to know her. I just find it sad that she wanted a relationship with her dad and he wanted nothing to do with her until she became famous. I wish I can meet her in person and just give her a big hug. I know what it feels like to not know your father and to feel resentment and bitterness at the same. Wishing her and her family peace and love.
