I've always been a huge fan of Dokken. They're so underrated. They're way more than just another "hair band". They made so many great songs...Dream Warriors, Alone Again, Into The Fire, Breaking The Chains, the list just goes on.

+Robert Ryan - I agree completely!! No other metal/hard rock band could compare to Dokken!

I'm pretty sure that Seven Thunders is my favorite Dokken song.

And even those are the more popular and well-known songs. I love "Stop Fighting Love" "The Hunter" "Heaven Sent" and "Night By Night" just to name a few. Especially the riff in "The Hunter" just pure awesomeness!

I like the best of all kinds of music and Dokken has always been a favorite. Don was also involved with producing and helping out a number of bands to get off the ground.

This is a really good interview!!! Don and I have alot of the same likes and musical taste. I'm also Scandinavian! More Swedish then Norwegian!! He is also very well spoken!!! Seems very chill and upbeat in this interview. I don't like fish either!!@

I love Don's eclectic musical tastes - Rachmaninoff, Windham Hill artists, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Dio, etc. No wonder Dokken is so amazing!!!

thanks for that info. this album release and timeline is mostly a mystery to me. i know they embarked on the MOR tour in May of 1988. this album was released Nov 1987. i always wanted to learn the exact dates when the Beast From The East live recorded was recorded or when those dates in Japan took place. i recall reading in RIP magazine that the band disbanded. was so upsetting

I love what Don says about hypocrites and "Standing in the Shadows." He writes about them also in "Crash and Burn." Dokken's lyrics have always been better than most of the hard rock/metal bands... and of course, THEIR MUSIC IS INCREDIBLE!!!

The music scene had changed by then. He was definitely referring to George.

@@lrn_news9171 “everything “?? Dude, you’ve only heard a couple of Lynch’s songs ever huh? Without even trying I can think of multiple songs Lynch has done after Dokken that were way heavier than anything Dokken has ever done.
@RS-ol8or
@RS-ol8or Жыл бұрын
Yeah Don meant Lynch. See, Don was also taking swipes at George & putting fuel on the fire. It wasn’t just George, as many erroneously remark. Don had a massive ego.
