I seriously love this idea of going for cheaper components and saving the use of expensive materials for detail work. Your owlbear turned out fantastic and would be SO cool to run into in a game of D&D if you got to play with miniatures and maps.

Exactly! I'm the first to say that epoxy clays are expensive but if you only use it for detail work, it's definitely accesible. Thanks for your comment!

I enjoyed the movie ..just one small thing. Of they make the characters go to the underdark..we needed mindflayers. Next bear should be cocaine owlbear

Did you cure it in the oven? How did the toy not melt 😳

I used epoxy clay which hardens without the need for an oven.

But like, why not just sculpt one from scratch? You were halfway there already, you clearly have the skill, save yourself the dollar and some cutting 🤷♂️

A $1 bear toy is cheaper than the amount of clay you would use to sculpt the body
