I have hens that lay eggs in greens, blues, pinks, browns and pale cream. Once I started selling them in clear plastic cartons versus the brown cardboard ones, I started getting double the sales and a higher price. No joke.

I hope you have a program in place where customers can return their old plastic carton for a small discount on their next purchase. Then you can reuse the old cartons and prevent people from being wasteful and just tossing them out. Also reduce your production costs. 👌🏾

The color of the eggs has something to do with a color on their beak. I think maybe look it up. My brother who had chickens told me that.

@@judytinker3392 You can get a better idea from checking the color of the earlobes. There are exceptions with specific breeds, and with hybrids (like “mutts”) that don’t follow the rules. I find knowing the breeding of each bird is your most accurate indicator. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just finalizing my divorce in October it was a long headache. Hang in there and remember to take time and find yourself. Try new things and even old things be critical if u really like them or not or if u just liked/ didnt like them for him. I don't know ur personally story just my experience and the best advice I was given is to be selfish and put ur wants and needs first before friends or family (not counting children who are dependent of u lol) all of this will help find who u are and what u want in life and gives u hell of a confidence boost. In the US, eggs are washed before they’re sold. That makes the shells porous, which means that any condensation that collects on the outside of the shell can let germs into the shell. Soooo they need to stay cool but dry. I imagine that’s why there’s a hole.

If you buy those little shelf stands, make sure they still have the little rubber tips on them. You can also put a couple together with zip ties. It makes them much more stable too.

The dollar tree egg holder lets you put something on top to maximize space and you don’t have to guess how many eggs you have. They are expensive enough to take good care of them!

I know! 😂 Gone are the days when I'm baking, and I accidentally mix the whites with the yolk. I am surgical with separating the whites now. Eggs could sell on the black market for $10 a pop!

Vivian you make me laugh every time I watch you. So the headlamp... I wear one at night if I am sewing in my craft room. Yes, yes the lights are all on but the extra brightness I get while using my sewing machine is invaluable. This little headlamp insures strait lines and the end of me swearing while using the seam ripper. LOL (My husband looks at me like Im crazy, but thats ok. Got to keep him on his toes)🙂

The dollar tree shelves, I have a bunch of them. I ziptied the heck out of them, two next to each other. Doubled the size and increased the sturdiness. My bowls and saucers are taking up half the space. My pantry holds so much more than before. It just takes lots of zipties. Also from dollar tree.

I use the DT head lamp ALL the time… it beats holding your phone with your teeth with the flashlight app on! And The light is sufficient for most things.

Right.The head lamps are good when you need your hands for something else. I just cleaned my dryer vent which is behind my washer and dryer in a small closet. I can’t pull the dryer all the way out. I have to tilt it forward. So it is dark behind it .

The wire shelf organizers are really neat for the fridge because the dollar tree egg holder will fit underneath it and then you can put other things on top. Also the smaller soda can organizers will do the same thing. I use them in my freezer too.

vivian! put those dollar tree shelves in your freezer! I put stuff on top, and put my beef chub roll things under, the shelf keeps them from rolling away! i also have them in my cupboard and i put the bigger dinner plates on the bottom and smaller plastic snack plates on top.

Yes, eggs need air to cycle or else they go bad fast. Also the $tree one can hold more in the middle sideways. The clear plastic is easier to break. The opaque ones is more flexable

The dollar tree shelves aren’t too bad if you put even weight on them. I used them in my plate cabinet because I have more than one set of dishes. It let me stack sets on eight on top of each other but I can still access the ones on the bottom without pulling ALL of them off the top. They will definitely wobble until you get stuff on top, though! I sure wouldn’t have put gramma’s dishes on them, but great for every day dishes…lol

One thing I've noticed about DT things? They are dishwasher safe. I've bought more expensive organization bins that melt in the dishwasher (most notably the bougie egg holder)

You can actually reuse the mats! :) Baby wipes or dawn dish soap and some elbow grease to scrape off the gunk, and when it dries it will be sticky again :)

I've had the egg container from the Dollar tree for years and I love it. Also, from the Dollar tree, I have the wire shelf. I have a very small kitchen and most of my cupboards are also small and not very wide. I put my plates with the rack over them and on top of the rack I put paper plates. I think I would rate them a bit higher than you did.

Great deal on the egg holder! Actually, it isn't just for aesthetics, it's also for protection, at least it is at my house. If you have a refrigerator that is consistently packed like a round of Tetris, it's nice to be able to just put the eggs anywhere and not have to take a shelf apart and restack things just so the eggs can be on top so they don't get squashed in those flimsy plastic cartons they're sold in (epecially now that eggs are practically worth their weight in gold!). The hole is to prevent moisture from building up and making your eggs rot. TJ's can keep it, because nobody gets into my fridge except me, and if someone is checking out my eggs............... there's something wrong with them!! lol I see no use for those lids that I will have to keep washing over, and over, and over again. Press and Seal is the BEST thing ever for covering food for the fridge. And I don't have to keep rewashing. Once and done.

Those headlamps from the Dollar tree are awesome! Our electricity went out at 11:30 at night. Those headlamps made it so easy for my son and my husband to get the generator moved and started because they did not have to hold a flashlight! Love, love, love your videos!! I got those plastic wrap thingies from dollar tree last week... And let me TELL YOU!! I use it when microwaving soups or any food that will splash, I use it for things that don't have lids, and I even use it on my rectangle shaped bowls. It is perfect! Weird thing is, I had been wanting to buy those stretchy things from Amazon a couple days prior and had it in my cart already. Went to dollar tree, and said 'let me test these out before I buy them for $16 on Amazon. 😂 Guess who isn't spending $16 on Amazon anymore! ME!

One of my DIY ladies that I follow shared a hack about the Cricut mats. She washes hers off using Dawn dishwash liquid and it not only cleans the gunk off but also brings the stickiness back!

@@sweetb2006 I bought from them twice and have been a satisfied customer. Basically, they have stuff that you can find at 99 Cents, DT, Walmart, etc. The quality is fine considering the price. They are doing a crazy promotion campaign. I don’t think they make profits in the US but want to build their customer base.

For what we are paying for eggs now, they should come with a fancy acrylic container! I have the dollar tree shelf and it fits perfectly in my cabinets. I put coffee mugs on them and it’s perfect!

The dollar tree storage shelves last very long. I brought it several years ago, and I still use them. They are pretty strong, I have heavy dinner plates and placed a serving of 6 on top, and they are still good. They deserved 5 Vivian heads, but I understand your concern. Use them and review again after you use them for 3 or 4 months. Love your reviews .

The dollar tree metal shelf organizer if great for makeup palettes, I store mine between the bars and most of them for perfectly. I love your channel Vivian, my only complaint is I want more videos!! The lids are so you can stack them. I buy my eggs at Costco, and each tray is 2 1/2 dozen. You really want to protect them. They now put them in open cardboard trays, and they can be easily broken. If I could find another one of those egg cartons, I would. They’re a lot more sturdy than the cardboard.😊

The head lamps are great for kids . Flashlight tag , hide in seek with power out . For power outages its a must , reading in bed . Working on a craft project , the very best . My hubby has the expensive one for work . But I was so excited to find the dollartree one for my 6 year old grandson, who ALWAYS wanted to play with Grandpa' 50 dollar one ..lol lol

Our B&M stores ( another bargain shop) sell bamboo travel coffee cups with silicone lids price at £1.99- £2.99, depends on the designs though.

By the way the dollar tree riser is fine I put my hydroponic garden on it that's growing two full bell pepper plants and a ton of water. I've had it for over a year now and it's fine 😊

Just a note on the shelf risers…. Check the dimension between your shelves before buying them. I bought one and it way to tall.

I love wire shelves of any kind. I have many $ Tree shelves in my cupboards. I needed one taller underneath. I got some skinny PVC pipe, cut it to the length/height I wanted and slid the pipe over the legs! Voila!! This also made them sturdier. Love you girl

just had to say, the egg containers are very handy...you can stack things on top of it without crushing your eggs..and the flat top makes it easier to put things on without them sliding off when you open the fridge...even if its just another carton of eggs. stacks SO much easier and now worry of crushing your eggs ! love them and keep waiting for my DT to get more.

I love those travel cups! The print rubs off eventually, but I have a pair that I have been using for about 3 years. Sturdy, cute and feels nice in the hand. 😊

I really like the dollar tree shelf I have. Used it for bread for a long time then saw Bargain Bethany(I think!) for container lids and I like it there. I originally wanted it to separate my plates but it wasn’t wide enough. Tried to find the Smart Design because $5 sounds great but Amazon has it for higher. Edited: I paused the video right after Vivian said $4.99 and commented asking where to buy it and I hit play and I hear “go get it at tj maxx.” Thanks 🙃

Va Va Vivian! Thanks for brightening my evening. I did use acrylic egg holders because I go through a lot and it’s easier to buy a few dozen or so at once and transfer them to recycle the carton right away on recycle day. But I got tired of having to pull out and open the holder constantly. Soooo I now have the stacking open ones where the eggs roll down as you use them. I haven’t seen the bowl covers at my 💵 🌳 . Thanks for the laughs and entertainment! I like mine tight too 🙊 😂

I zip tie the small racks together for strength :) it adds stability and they don’t slide around.

Re: egg holder - Thanks for the tip. I have my own chickens and those holders look a lot more sturdy than the cardboard egg holders I've been recycling for the last few years. They also look stackable which is something I need since my 3 chicks give me 3 eggs a day. While I do use eggs, they produce about 21 eggs per week and that's a lot of eggs!

I tried going to two of the Dollar Tree stores in my area and they didn't have a clue as to what these "egg holders" were. They did have the plastic round holders for deviled eggs. I found the ones you noted at Walmart.

I purchased the wire rack from dollar tree to make a coffee bar stand and used zip ties to hold them together and I love them 👍🏾 and thank you so very much for sharing this information with us 😀 great job

Tip FIX for the atomic beam: if the button ever stops working. The cause is the middle wire to the button and/or to the battery pack has broken and needs to be reconnected (soldered with a little extra wire). The stretchy coil wire causes it to break from the tension.

Hi, Vivian! I'm a newbie here on your channel. You're doing a great job with your tips! 👍 I have a suggestion for the Starbucks dupe cups. I have a hot cup sleeve I bought from Dollar Tree (I think!) a few years ago. I have similar cups, except mine are shorter. But that sleeve makes a big difference! It's made of stretchy material with sequins on it. Very comfy! For those talented people who are great with crafts (I'm not🙃), it would be a nice project to make your own! There! Pat yourself on the back! You can make it fancier than Starbucks and save your dough! Eat your ❤️ out, Starbucks!!! 😊

The clear acrylic egg keeper generally isn’t dishwasher safe, the dollar tree would be. The Cricut mat can be cleaned with some dawn power spray, let it sit a little & give it a scrub with a scrub daddy, rinse dry & happy crafting.
