Using our 1150R Rotator and our Vulcan V70 to upright a loaded trailer with no semi-tractor after one dolly leg collapsed and the trailer rolled on its side across a ditch on Halloween in the rain.

Yesterday I watch a father and son team use angles and pulleys to extricate a one ton van from a wood along a tight country track and turn the vehicle 180 degrees with only millimetres to spare. This morning I found Ron and two of the crew tackle another seemingly impossible lift, made to look simple by teamwork and great skills in the planning. Small moves and great care and superb teamwork achieve what looks like an impossible lift to the non engineer and and layman. Well done guys.

Ron, you and your group of guys do a great job -- by the grace of God, no one was hurt on this one -- which is barely short of a miracle. When I first saw the side of that trailer, I figured that one was going to split all to pieces. I'm thankful that none of you were injured. That was an extremely dangerous situation. May God continue to bless you and your family and your group!

This is one of the things I love about KZfaq. I've watched videos of people doing professions I never really thought about, and learned a lot about them. I've watched a dude troubleshoot bowling alley machines, dudes reposessing cars, and now some guys righting a flipped trailer. Super professional job, and cool to see the process.

Ron, I didn’t know this until a week ago when I had to have my Tucson towed to the local Goodyear store for repairs. I live in Kansas and like Missouri the tow trucks have code reds here too. The guy who towed by car on his roll-back was telling me about it. They can only use it if asked by law enforcement to expedite to a scene, which I believe is basically the same as what you have said about Missouri. The tow truck driver said that’s it’s a wonderful pet to have to be able to run lights and siren if there is a bad accident. (Especially if they are needed to help with extrication, lifting heavier pieces so that first responders can get in quicker if they can’t get to the victim(s).) I have noticed that here in Kansas, the “Move Over Rule” is very heavily enforced and people know that because they usually move to the next lane to avoid what ever is going on. Even if it’s just a person in there car waiting for help, people move out of the way. It’s a $500 fine in Kansas for failing to move over. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Stay safe out there and God Bless!

You don't want extreme high pressure water if at all possible. It will push chemicals and grit into the strap and cause it to degrade faster. Most of the time you lay them out flat and scrub them with a brush and soap. Then rinse with water and hang to dry, same basic process as with fire hose.

Hello I made a 6 and 8 foot spreader bar just for this procedure! Also worked great unloading C-130 on remote jobs here in Alaska. My spreaders have pick eye on top for main line and 4 strap eyes on opposite side of spreader. The 8' one same except 3 top main eyes so you could use just one in middle or use 2 . And opposite side had 6 strap eyes. I would have used both the 6 and 8 on this job with the Chinese fan effect with the straps that along with the weight distribution of the spreaders I believe I could have turned that with very minimal damage. Love to watch your videos!!! From here in Alaska!! Go easy RON😎

Mr. Pratt I believe with your work ethic and determination you would have excelled and been a great fire fighter had you not dedicated your talents to this profession. I like how you think, let's check the equipment, put it back in it's original place, clean it if possible and recheck it and clean what needs to done again at the shop. I can't tell you how many different fire calls I've been to over 32 years were the fire or incident lasted no more than 15-20 minutes, clean up was 15-20 minutes on scene and another 20-30 minutes at the station cleaning and double checking everything that may have come off of a fire truck, topping off the water tank if needed and topping off any power tool used, and that would happen with 5 - 6 personnel on average. And those were the small fires, or accident scenes. Fire service Motto: Always ready....Always willing....Always able! Thank you for sharing your life with us on KZfaq. Keep up the great work and videos. Slow Down. Move Over.

The good thing with this was that it was all destined for scrap, so it's a nice exercise with real world stuff.

Man! I just kept thinking how easy it would have been to slip on that hillside and get a foot or his body under that thing, jagged metal, tons of weight . . . Thank God for his safe care of them!🙏. Tremendous respect and admiration for figuring out the "physics" of this job, even to the point that they could still tow the trailer and load!

My last job was driving a yard dog at a place that built boats. Hauled thing from the main warehouse to the plants that built the boats sometimes moved trials from where we keep them to the warehouse and back. God bless.

I have seen Another video and they have a quarter of your equipment and most times spend half looking for what they have that they just tossed back in anywhere. So your explanation for a world of good as to the difference between just a guy with a like truck, and a professional who takes care with equipment.

That was a very well executed rigging plan! When you started I fully expected the passenger side of that trailer to split wide open. Nicely done and thanks for all the videos.

I'm the same way Ron. I have to know where my stuff is ,and that it's made it back in the correct spot. This makes thing easier to find, which in turn makes a job go by faster. Once again great job brother!!

Man, all I could think of during the last half of this recovery was; If that trailer's top seam lets go, or the embankment washes out, you Mike and Talon are id DEEP WEEDS!

Awesome rigging and an even better lift. That was one sketchy load. I'm constantly amazed at your ability to adapt to the diverse and often dangerous situations you handle safely

Great video. With everything you carry on that truck, I'm surprised you didn't have the right tools for that job. A can of gas and a match! Talon needs to repaint some of his equipment. Got to keep up with the old man ya know. I'm sure all the color coding can really help to keep things straight. Especially on jobs like this with multiple cross connected trucks.
