What can be said about the classic Dobbiaco - Cortina road bike loop? Many of our KZfaq followers might only know about the Sellaronda ( • Afternoon Sellaronda b... ), but there’s so much more to explore in the Dolomites. As I always say, Sellaronda is just the "tip of the iceberg."
This has always been my favorite training loop when I was into road bike racing. It was my "testing" loop; I could tell from different split times if my athletic shape was good or where I needed improvement in different sections. Indeed, it’s the perfect training loop for roadbike cyclists.
The long flat section at the beginning makes it easy to enjoy the views. The famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo? Just turn your head left at 15:34 in this video. Wowing at the Cristallo mountain? Look straight ahead. Tofana, Cinque Torri, Marmolada, and others? Just raise your head when you can.

Bellissimo anello. Sono stato in Val Pusteria, a San Candido, nel '94 per fare la Pustertal con gli sci da fondo e ho apprezzato molto la conformazione del territorio meno aspra di quella Valdostana dove vivo. Comunque complimenti per la media di tutto rispetto. Quest'anno vado in vacanza sul lago di Levico e mi porterò sia la bici da strada che la MTB.

27.3km/h - we were at the ospitale bus stop when a large Mercedes screamed to a stop, large man gets out, pointing at the smart poles, shouting at us are those speed cameras!!! are those speed cameras!!! 😂😂😂

In fact, as soon all is activated they handle also like speed tutors, they read the plate and know exactly your average speed for each section of the road and based on that ... you get the fine at home. Will you not pay the fine? As it's common among foreign car drivers! Well next time the plate will be read on another road in Italy where this system is on place, at the end of it you will run in to Police that stop you and seize the car. For sure that's good against those people that take the roads as Gran Prix circuits.

Ciao Igor, forse sono in ritardo per il quiz, se non ho calcolato male in cima al Valparola avevi una media di 27,1 km/h. Ti ho assegnato una Vam di 900 (spero non ti offenda). @@UstariaPostaHo stimato che tu, da ex corridore come me del resto, abbia scalato il passo con una Vam di 900 m/h il dislivello di 1004 m che va da Cortina al Valparola ed ho così ottenuto il tempo impiegato per la scalata e l'ho rapportato alla distanza ottenendo la media della scalata. Ho aggiunto questo dato alla media che hai dichiarato a Cortina (85 Km percorsi alla media di 32 orari) e ho stimato quindi i 27,1 Km/h al Valparola. La mia è una stima e magari tu sali i passi con una Vam superiore. Spero di aver soddisfatto la tua curiosità.

First I had to use a translator to understand danish ... and YES, La Crusc lift will be replaced. Construction works start this summer, but new lift will be ready for winter season 2025/26 as they don't want to loose a whole summer season. The La Crusc chairlift is one that works the most of the whole Alta Badia in summer.

Semplice ... allargo i gomiti 😉. Esatto in senso antiorario c'è solo il Valparola, poi se vuoi farlo piú difficile ci aggiungi il Furcia al ritorno. La stradina di rientro é quella prima che iniziano i tornanti per arrivare a La Villa.

😁😁😁 Tema Olimpiadi: Le opinioni sono abbastanza contrastanti. Diciamo che all'inizio c'era un po' di soddisfazione per avere un evento del genere quasi in casa. Adesso tale soddisfazione va scemando vedendo cosa accade in giro. Alla fine la vedo come una "gara" nella "gara" dove sembra che ogni regione/provincia corre a piú non posso per accaparrarsi piú soldi possibili evitando che questi vadano agli altri. Il motto é: "Se non lo facciamo noi lo fanno gli altri!"

26,5 km orari, che fortuna che in montagna quando si cerca l'h2o c'è sempre una fonte a portata di mano. in pianura sempre più difficile bere! E comunque acqua calda e non fresca come in Dolomiti.

Bene comune, conosco zone turistiche che si vantano di essere "Bike Friendly" ma poi di fonti di acqua non c'è ne sono, oppure sono chiuse in centro con la volontá di far passare chi ne ha bisogno al bar davanti.
