The more drafts I watch the more I want to value Skittering Surveyor. It looks like splashing for gold legendaries comes up surprisingly often. Not that there is remotely any reason to splash with that BW being so strong, but it looks like a format where it is nice to have the option.

Icy wins games, end of story. Got passed two at an fnm draft in pack 2 and watching the regret in the eyes of the drafter across from as he handed them over was amazing.

Dude you are an inspiration, assessing everything from the ground up with no heed to hype or "conventional wisdom". I would never have even considered discarding Scriptures or Icy to the Spirit in those two games to take the short term advantage over the long term - I have no idea if it was correct or not but I can feel that even thinking about the possibility makes me a better player.

I like your Eviscerate over Kwende pick. It's probably the better option given the circumstances and just in general.

Only thing i don't fully agree with is taking the 3/1 knight over the Pegasus, flying over the top with 2 creatures is just so strong... Kwende and Eviscerate are pretty equal in that spot, do think Kwende has a lot of upside, but there is a big 'IF' attached to him, mainly the first strike clause, and you thus want to draft around him. Think at the point in the draft you were already looking to be slower and more controlling so i guess i agree with the Eviscerate in that spot. But it's obviously close, as you still had more then enough packs to go to pick up first strike, but then if that doesn't come it's a 4/4 doublestrike in fantasy land at best... so yeah ... Pegasus though vs 3/1 knight, i get the curve concern but the 3/1 is so replaceable, vs. not having Pegasus value feels wrong to me. (but then i got totally slaughtered by a Pegasus (or actually a 7/7 (G)(W) legend x/x with loads of tokens) at pre-release that i my judgement might be skewed? I mean i drew my Promo Belzenlok and got to chump block with him to hope an find removal). Anyways, pretty decent draft...

On 1:33:36 i would have tapped to leave a black up as everyone thinks of fungal infection as a trick. And the fact your opponent didnt double block the knight of malice last time makes it seem like they believed you had a trick. :) just my coin in on the tough decision.

I agree with most of your picks, but why not take Zhalfirin Void over Final Parting at 18:30? Parting is not a card you want to play, and Void gives your lands some utility.

Although I don't scoff at "Mr 93" Yargle, this wasn't the deck for him. I think it would've been best to have more copies of Dark Bargain in his place main deck, so Yargle would be sideboarded in matches were Honor Guard and/or Sergeant are less relevant. This way, 17 lands might've been fine (I agree with the 18 for the deck Reid chose to play, though).

After that second card I would have hard slammed any white or black card Isaw and never looked back. Picking the wizard was a mistake imo. Always fun seeing you draft Reid! Do more!

12:01 - I don't think this is a format that cares a lot about 2-drops. A 3/1 that trades down with all the 1/1 tokens seems a lot less appealing than Pegasus Courser, which will help you close out a game in what I think is going to be a slow grindy format.

I feel like Sergeant is a bit of an underperformer/trap. I was valuing it pretty much towards the higher end of medium, but really it's a 2/3 for 3 or 4/5 for 6 (double white) across two bodies, neither which are great rates. It feels like you REALLY need a token strategy (green/white board pumps or white/black sac) to really even consider them. I think we're all just so conditioned to treat army-in-a-can type cards as over performers in limited, but I think this guy's just a little too behind the curve. It's playable but it's like 24/25th card playable the more drafts I get under my belt.

taking a vanilla 3/1 over Pegasus Courser when his deck was already packed with lifelink hurt me don't think he ended up with enough removal to make all his smaller creatures good; should have taken an Equipment or some Thallid Omnivore to help punch through it's disappointing to see someone sitting in a draft seat with 35~ playables in 2 colors and still have holes in their deck bleh; landscrew/floods in round 2 & 3

Yes, I agree with people Infection rather beter than Sentinel in 6:37. Sera Disciple over Dark Bargin worth to consider in 11:48 in my opinion, with so many sagas and Legends. And Pegasus over 2 drop in 12:10. I played D. Arheologist in seald - not work very good (i am not suprised it goes around) Manipulator definitly (if not, i prefer pegasus in 16:40). Again Sera Disciple in 17:28 worth consider. Acolyte over Final Parting in 18:58. And definitly Sera Disciple in 20:40.
