Yeah! well when i was looking up stuff for the video, it said france owned Corsica just before he was born, so i just thought for the sake of the video it would just work best to start in france haha, I get it though! might have made more sense!

I have an idea for a series: CK3 A2Z - you form every de jure empire at the start of ck3 in alphabetical order. You start as the person who owns the de jure capital, be it a weak count or a powerful emperor.

It's kinda stupid that the optimal way to conquer a huge empire whilst being a powerful kingdom yourself is to swear vassalage then splinter them. Imo they should rework factions to allow other realms to get involved in some way.

Yeah would be really nice if there was a way to bribe vassals to join your faction etc, maybe you need a certain % of vassals to join to push it! would be nice!

Not gonna lie, I've been actually thinking about facing off against the HRE in an attempt to create the Empire of France.... Napoleon (the movie trailer especially) being my inspiration. As for the rest of Europe, well... I dunno yet, maybe 😅 0:16 Actually, the Emperor of Austria-Hungary was the one who decided to formally end the Holy Roman Empire, as it lost much of its land and original influence as a superpower (much in part due to Napoleon of course, as well as other events)

@@PresidentWashingtonFounder in Charlemagnes times it wasnt the HRE. He had the same title but the realm was different. I think calling the HRE centralized at any point is a overstatement, no HRE Emperor had much Power over his Subject, for most of his existence the Emperor had no right to levy Taxes on its Citizen and in War no one had to Help him.

I think you were better off using a couple of mods. The Custom Title mod to make France control Corsica and maybe make a unique Corsican culture? Then the Great Conquerer mod to make Napoleon OP and have endless Kingdom wars and something to make tributaries since that’s basically what he’d did to the rest of Europe before it all fell apart.
