Holy shit, now I understand why Tony and the rest of the mobsters were so entranced. This is truly amazing. You can tell he's not just singing with his heart; he's singing with the very DNA encoded within his cells. He feels this tune in his bones, in his soul, in the molecules that comprise him. It's beyond music. It's a media map of the soul.

You can see the emotion and passion with which Dominic sings this. It's truly beautiful.

The actual way to say the title, "Ungrateful Heart," would be Cuore Ingrato, but it's said, "Core N'grato," which somehow adds something to the song. Just love it.

Just finished watching series 3 episode 13 of The Sopranos ... and hearing Uncle Junior sing this ... brought me to KZfaq ... and I find this ! The man himself !! I love this song.

I like his version, although it's very different from others that I've heard. The instrumental accompaniment, and the phrasing. But his neapolitan is perfectly good. He sings the words as they are written. I'm not sure why people avoid the second verse, the one with the visit to the priest/confessor, although I suppose it's a feature of our secular age. I like that verse, though--it emphasizes his despair, and the unremitting cruelty of the woman that he loves. Very well done.

But what I didn't plan for, is ending this superb series with Dominic Chianese singing this amazing song in that final scene in that series. Truly amazing. My favorite show.
