I enjoy the origin stories...a very "Inside the Actor's Studio" feel. The backstories add so many layers to these great actors & guests!

Well, 1 of them certainly can have his say. Not sure how much response time can be divided up when 1 has the mic most of the time. The huge difference with "Inside the Actor's Studio" is the ONE guest was the center of attention and was given all the time they needed/wanted to respond to the pre-written questions. And there was a time line from the start to the present in questions. Regardless of how long it took to get through all the questions, the guest was set on an evolution of their life. Most of these podcasts are a smattering of superficial questions that have been asked and answered a zillion times. Stories are repeated so often by these actors, they don't need to prepare or rehearse what they are going to say. Could see it in Conners boredom. Only saving grace for him here was he knows Dominic don't care. As long as Dominic is talking he is happy.

As a huge fan of Enterprise I really enjoyed seeing Daniels return as it was giving Enterprise some recognition. But I totally get why Dom feels how he does. Regardless, I’m glad they enjoyed Discovery and their show was fantastic. I’m glad Dominic and Connor have embraced it and enjoy it too.

Having Daniels show up at the end of Discovery, via Kovich was incredibly cool and smart imo. Did Dom want them to pull an actual Enterprise and have it be on the damn holodeck then or something? I don't get why he's so salty about it to be honest.

@@LordLOC Agreed. Discovery did it right. I love Enterprise but it didn’t have a great ending and I’m glad future shows seem to have learned from it.

They really did a big lift getting the multi-part Berman and Braga interviews for the Shuttlepod channel. They are never at cons.

Dom gets a lot hate which personally I think it's uncalled for. Dom is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and man, when he gets going he is entertaining as hell.

Dom used to be very sarcastic in his convention appearances a few years after Enterprise, but maybe he's mellowed out over the years? I see his fandom in trek now towards the other series and it's awesome! I like how he introduces the guests!

Star trek & the US space program inspired me to become an engineer and have a long career and a love building technology. Scotty, Laforge, and O'Brian are my engineering trilogy. I'm subscriber 455. :) Sorry Trip, but Enterprise came to late, was already a working engineer for a long while, but still loved your character.

At 9:34, it is easy to mishear "and Dom I'll note" as "and Donald" but the auto-CC did get it right and has vindicated the host here.

A thought: always been impressed by Conner's strong resemblance to actor Paul Carr, who was the original co-engineer in "Where no man has gone before.". (Chief Kelso). Thought he might be Trip's descendant! You know, if T'Pol was pregnant before Trip was killed, or he had a brief encounter on shore leave, and after a hundred years of marriages and name changes his great, great grandson is, once again, an engineer on the Enterprise! How cool is that!? Enterprise is a great part of the huge Star Trek saga and I, for one, am very happy to see the gaps in the story slowly filled in with each new series. But about the timeline thing: I just know Scott read the scripts and went "Really? Didn't I just leave this party?". Now we know what one of Sam's next leaps was! All those leaps were training for something much bigger: saving the Galaxy! I was always affected by the final title card of Quantum Leap: "Doctor Sam Beckett never returned home.". Very poignant. And now we know why! The REAL Archer is back in the waiting room, and Sam is Captain of the ship. He no longer needs Al to help him. He's now connected to that "higher power" and able to leap through the centuries as needed, no longer limited to the length of his own lifetime. Like Daniels, who is obviously a Leaper! And I just know Scott was always "bazinga'd" about this stuff by the cast and crew! And then there's Bruce McGill! First with Time Cop, then Quantum Leap, then Enterprise, TNG, and Voyager, half his career has been about time travel! Finally culminating in future Captain Braxton suffering from temporal psychosis. (Actually, it was being trapped in the 20th century as a homeless person for 30 years! That would do it for me!) Well... One of you asked to hear anyone's story of being inspired by Trek. Where do we start!? Gene's vision and philosophy of the future, the much better way of living as a space-faring species that has largely "grown up", mostly, with technology creating the life human beings should live, and the rest. One of the many things it's got me to do is a decades long project to build a history in models of all the Enterprise's from the early sailing ships up to the future starships, with a companion book and video. The Motion Picture planted the seed; "All those vessels were called Enterprise.". Then a scene in Diane Duane's novel The Final Frontier (a much better story than the movie), about the history of the Enterprise and why the new ship should have the same name. This is an exchange between Kirk's father George and Robert April on the first shakedown cruise of the ship. That and other things poured fertilizer on the seed and I began to collect any research and models I could about all the ships, even gathering or making parts to custom make the ships not put out as any kit. This laborious process continues to this day. Just got a few new additions to the lineup: the big 1/350 I Love Kit of the CV-6 ENTERPRISE carrier, the XCV-330 ring ship from Fantastic Plastic, and the USS FRANKLIN from Moebius, which I'm thinking of building as an Enterprise just before the NX-01. My ultimate goal is to make each of the starships from the 01 up to the 1701, as well as one of the last DY Class, a Delta class, the Ring ship, the deadalus class and several more, drawing on all my research like the Space Flight Chronology, the works of Matt Jeffries, Mike Minor, Andy Probert, Doug Drexler, Rick Sternbach, John Eaves and more, along with countless books and magazines. And videos. Both my library and all the ones on Utube. Anyway, I could go on all day with this subject, but I better sign off for now. (Life calls!). Have a better one guys! (By the way, Dominic's voice is sounding a lot like Malcolm McDowell these days. That's a compliment Dominic!). Later dudes...

Great interview. About Daniels getting more meaty lines. Understandable that the main actors outside the trio, would be upset. It is their ' big break ' role, and a guest star is repeatedly getting to do a lot more acting than the main cast.

It's part of the recipe but sad- star trek has never known how to appreciate it itself. Has always taken itself for granted. When it persists, a la TOS continuing into movies, TNG just persisting, everyone wins. The whole world wins. Art wins, television wins, fans win... but when it doesn't, you get heartbreaking broken threads like ent and dis
