Off to a great start, I can't believe you found that steel swamp and two magic sites right off the bat. Really good start :) And glad to see I'm not hopelessly behind when I have 10 provinces at end of year 1 with a dormant pretender and squishy troops. :) Now that your nidbathed are coming online, I expect expansion will only pick up :)

I like the "blenders", the female warriors called Nidylva. "Ylva" is the female form for wolf (or ulv in old Swedish) and it's also a common name both in old-norse and modern Sweden. "Nid" is old norse meaning indignity, affront, revenge, foul or evil play. (Nidhogg was the giant snake that gnawed at the world tree Yggdrasil. Here "Nid" means foul and "hogg" I think is related to Swedish "hugg" or cut/chop/hack.)

Put me in coach....I tend to recruit and prophetize a Nidbathed commander turn1 and turn2. Being able to divine bless 50+ Nidbathed makes taking a province including thrones cake.

Look ma! im famous! Better be more creative with your troops if you want to use my namesake! Like... have you thought of just using your initial archers as mele troops? As cubs+ (which isn't much of a compliment), they tend to do more harm than good. At least for me. And I resent to you as evidence - your battle vs the Shamblers: 21 of them killed 10 (!) And got at least one of your blenderinas... and a few afflictions to boot. That's 0.4 kills compared to a solid 2 kills per blenderina. Thats literally helping the enemy, not to mention removing those blenderinas from future fights. 'If they like arrows so much, they can collect them for the enemy with their bodies' - Ogaburan, Nidherse commander In fact, im after 2 full games with Nida, and i fell so much in love with the blenderinas on my first try that on the 2nd I went full scales for max blenders. Ignored the sacreds and the archers, and it was viable (imho). Used cubs as arrow/lance catchers AND as flankers to harass enemy archers, and always inforced with the bear warriors who are recruit anywhere. Then i kind of discovered that Nida's strongest unit isn't even the crow mage, its the cub mother - 35g for an anywhere commander... that's crazy coupled with the map movement, it means you can build up HORDES of better than barbs troops and strike with great mobility. If an army has a stack of scareds, blendering it usually works. The girls have formation fighter... that is 8 attack's per square. Only AOE magic can deal with that - which is a one hell of a weakness for MP. Im really curious to see what u do with the magic, especially the water wolves... who i didn't find much use for...

I notice the Bear mage loses most of his item slots. I believe any items he has get absorbed (inactive) and come back when he transforms back though?

I don't find the farm land as valuable in dom 6 others. Provinces give so much as a base line now

You chose 7 candles strong dominion but your capital started with only 1 candle. Is that random, related to the imprisoned god or other reason? (I think I have 5 candles in starting capitals and I "thought" this was because I chose 5 candles in pretender design.)
