Dominique Wilkins and Kevin Willis were the unquestioned leaders of one of the most successful periods of basketball in Atlanta Hawks history. They spent 9 full seasons together, making it to the playoffs 5 times, however, their success was limited as they never even made a conference finals appearance. Although they put up good stats together, especially late in their partnership, the question remains of whether they were a legitimate tandem who fed off each other or if they were just the two best players on a team co-existing. The evidence points to the latter, as it seemed if one was playing well then the other was struggling and in Willis' case, he seemed to play his best when Wilkins was out of the lineup.
