The smaller formats are great for holding filters, batteries etc. and they can be folded neatly like an enveloppe, without corners sticking out. But I find the bigger formats are a bit disappointing for my intended use. I wanted a quick rain/bump protection for when I have my 70D+Sigma 18-35 on a shoulder strap, but it really needs some more velcro (on both sides would be best) in order to wrap it tightly around the camera.

Isn't it cumbersome to open them up every time you want to change lenses?

Depends on how you use it. I use it to hold the camera and lens and the wrap allows me to move it from a bag to a case without dealing with moving dividers around.

Not inexpensive compared with neoprene lens cases. Also hook & Loop (aka Velcro) loses its effectiveness with age as it gets clogged with fluff. Looks like it's not that well padded either.

Why does that lens look so strange? Like there are 2 huge rings around it

These are 2 to 3 times more expensive in the UK. Rip off.
