I'd like the sequel to confirm which Nerissa-Faith theory was correct. I also hope Woody comes back, the frenemy relationship was entertaining to see. Even a cameo would be appreciated.

Yeah, i have often wondered if this cliffhanger will be resolved in TWAU2 and hopefully it will. Hell even if it's just in a flashback i'd be happy.

I believe the person we saw at the end of Episode 5 was Faith glamoured as Nerissa. I mean, think about it. Why would Faith kiss Bigby on the cheek the first time, or maybe the second time, they met? Why would anyone kiss the Big Bad Wolf himself on the cheek? Was she attracted to him, did she have feelings for him or was it something else? I believe the reason she kissed Bigby on the cheek was NOT because she cared about him or anything like that. She did it because she knew if Bigby found "her head" specifically on the apartment door step, she knew he'd stop at nothing to find whoever's responsible. Alright, put yourself on Bigby's shoes. You're the Big Bad Wolf, everyone's terrified of you and/or hates you. Suddenly, you found the head of the only person who "cared" about you. The only person you had a good conversation with. Faith was pretty smart because she knows how lonely Bigby was and she knew he'd stop at nothing to find her "killer". Now whether or not she actually had feelings for him is up to you. Me personally? I think that kiss was just a part of her plan to escape to The Crooked Man in one piece. (Also, did you guys cringe every time I said "kiss on the cheek"?)

If you save Lawerence from suicide, and ask him “When was the last time you saw your wife” he states a few weeks ago, she took some money. He saw “Faith” a few weeks before her murder, but she states she was short from cash from the beginning of the game, why does she run out of money so quickly? An expensive glamour? But even so, how would Nerissa know where Lawerence lives? Something is fishy about Faith/Nerissa.

You know what mystery I would love solved- unless it’s in the comics and I just didn’t realize- is WHERE IS KING COLE? WHERE HAS HE BEEN THE WHOLE TIME ?!

They actually already did answer the Faith question. At least for comic book readers. The Wolf Among Us comic is based on the game, and follows the path of The Crooked Man going to jail. Now, in the game, there are (I think) 3 endings for Crooked Man. SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T READ THE COMICS OR PLAY THE GAME: 1. Bigby can rip off his head (killing Crooked Man) 2. Bigby can push him down the Wishing Well (Killing the Crooked Man) 3. Bigby can throw him in jail (Crooked Man lives) The Comics follows the 3rd option. This is the only option that works to reveal the truth. At the end of the game, you have the choice to follow Narissa or walk away. The Comics choose the walk-away option. Now, for this to make sense, prior to this scene, While Crooked Man is in jail, he asks for a shaving kit to shave. Bigby realizes too late that it has a mirror in it. He runs to the jail to stop the delivery but too late. Crooked Man used the mirror to escape with Bloody Mary's help (Somehow, maybe because she's a reflection, she is still alive, or her mirror portal still is open, I forget which). Regardless, Bigby reaches the jail, and Crooked Man is gone. He escaped. Fast Forward to the ending, and Bigby walks back home leaving Narissa alone. As Narissa is walking down the streets, a now shaved Crooked Man grabs her. As she struggles, he covers her mouth and whispers, "Hello, Faith." and the comic ends. The comic also reveals WHY Crooked Man was hunting Faith down, which explains why Faith was glamoured. So a lot of the mystery is answered in the comics. I'd recommend giving it a read. It's really good and even gives Bloody Mary's backstory and how she became Bloody Mary. Now, with that in mind, if you choose any other endings, you can reach a conclusion as to how the ending of the comic could change. 1. Follow 'Narissa', and Crooked Man gets caught or fails to grab her and has to retreat. 2. Kill Crooked Man, and Faith walks away and lives out the rest of her life as Narissa.

My theory was nerissa was glamoured as faith from the beginning. Bigby never actually met faith. The actual "Faith" was suppose to cover for lily meeting with the woodsman but she never made it she was alrdy dead or abt to be dead. That's why nerissas faith didn't know who the woodsman was and that's why the woodsman was so mad at her in the beginning.

I’m almost positive Faith glamoured herself as Narissa. In the story faith ‘hid her beauty’ meaning she has experience in hiding her face. They ‘used’ to call Narissa the little mermaid, meaning they don’t anymore because it’s literally not her anymore. Swineheart never got back to snow about ‘faith’s body’ because it’s not faith. Mirror couldn’t show faith despite her being dead. It showed the old king’s body, and if faith was dead the curse should be broken. It could only not show faith unless the curse wasn’t broken and faith was alive. Also Narissa would have no reason to be glamoured and lie about it to bigby in the beginning of the game. Faith would have a reason to lie to bigby about being glamoured, since Narissa was killed in the time between the walk to pudding and pie and the next morning (Note that ‘Narissa’ gave us this information and might not be reiable since she has lied about this story before).

I really hope it's gonna have a role what we decided to choose at the end. Like if we followed/ go after her or not. AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT AAAAAHHHH

I think Faith is alive. You forgot something, the money in the safe. The $58 dollars that was given to her was there, meaning that she dropped it off. The mirror, the clues to the audience, I believe it all points to Faith being glamored to look like Nerissa.

It was more or less answered if you did a little bit of research, there's only one theory without any glaring loopholes. It was Faith all along. She never actually died. The most complete theory can be found in a Reddit thread called "[Spoilers] /s More evidence for the ending" in r/TheWolfAmongUs. Check the replies from the user "DanteShamest". I'll copy the main theory adding some little details. I removed the links for the photos, but you can see them in the original Reddit comment: Here's what I think really happened: 1) Woody makes an appointment with Lily, but Lily cannot make it. [She sends Faith to cover for her] 2) Woody is surprised Faith, [a girl he has never met before], shows up. He tries to [avoid paying by using his claim to fame as the Woodsman]. It does not work and they get into an argument. The argument escalates until Toad calls Bibgy. 3) Faith meets Bigby for the very first time. After he helps her, she realizes he is decent and not as bad as they say - ["You're not as bad as everyone says you are"]. 4) Faith returns to the Pudding N Pie. [But outside she finds Nerissa waiting for her]. Nerissa confesses she panicked and revealed their plan to escape to Georgie. Faith gets angry and Nerissa agrees to take the fall because of guilt. 5) They walk into the Pudding N Pie, and this is when the body switch takes place. We know from the butcher's blackboard that both were customers, so there's a high chance that both could be carrying glamours. If all you need for a glamour to turn you into a SPECIFIC someone is some hair (that's pretty much what we can gather from what the game shows us), they could set the glamours right away to turn into each other. Georgie arrives and tells "Nerissa" (Faith in disguise) that things have changed, that now he needs to make an example out of them. "Faith" (Nerissa in disguise) walks in and he kills her removing her ribbon. From this point on, he believes he killed the real Faith. 6) The real Faith takes "Faith"'s head and leaves it at Bigby's doorstep. 7) Through the game, Bigby investigates and Faith (glamoured as Nerissa) tries to give hints as best as she can to point him in the right direction. This includes leaving the Crane-Snow photo that she stole at Lily's crime scene in room 207 (Nerissa never knew where this photo was). 8) At the end after the Crooked Man is safely gone, "Nerissa" visits Bigby for one last conversation. She gives a hint that she's not who she appears to be and walks off. Bigby [starts having flashback], making him wonder if it's really Nerissa that's walking away. Faith deceiving everyone and escaping fits her legend (Donkeyskin). Nerissa sacrificing herself fits her legend (Little Mermaid sacrificing for the Prince). I think Occam's Razor can't get better than that. This also expains why Swineheart hadn't confirmed Faith's head to really be hers, or why Bigby is reminiscing about Donkeyskin's backstory in the end ("she would hide her beauty so she could escape his kingdom").

Personally I believe in Nerissa glamoured as Faith. I think there are a few things that can be debunked from the Faith glamoured as Nerissa: So first of all: The mirror not showing Faith’s dead body. I think this is because Vivian, at that point, was still alive and still wearing the ribbon which kept all the girls under the curse whether or not they were dead. Therefore the mirror was still forced by the curse not so reveal her whereabouts. And the second thing is: Nerissa and Faith saying similar things. I personally think this is because Nerissa is trying to get Bigby to figure out the truth. She does this at the start when she leaves Faith’s head on the doorstep and she’s been helping him from the start. I think she says things similar to when she was glamoured as Faith in order to get him to realize. With the whole ‘Hide her beauty so she could escape his kingdom’ line, I think it’s a direct parallel in that Nerissa is hiding her true self in order to escape from the Pudding And Pie Anyway, this might not be true, it’s just some things I’ve thought about while watching the video. Faith was glamored as Nerissa, it's been all but confirmed by the Comic Adaptation of The Wolf Among Us

I think Nerissa glamoured up, or at least used Faith's Donkey's skin to disguise as Faith in the beginning of the game because she was covering for Faith (after ratting Faith & Lilly out to Georgie). She thus, didn't recognize Woody and got beaten for it. After her interaction with Bigby, she went back to the club, put in the money (if given by Bigby) in Faith's name, found out Georgie was ordered to kill Faith. So she took Faith's head, busted open Faith's make-up box to give the head to same kind of bruises she got from her encounter with Woody, then placed it where Bigby found it. The other detail is that you actually see Nerissa at the club, with Georgie. If it were the other way around (Faith disguised as Nerissa), Georgie would have noticed the difference. He's a pimp, and a pimp always knows his b!t

I love the character of Faith/Nerissa, but honestly, I think the cliffhanger is better left as it is. And I don’t think they’re going to address it in the second one. They’ll probably go with a “Nerissa left town and hasn’t been seen since” angle

I actually liked her character a lot more than Snow. She was the only one that felt like she never judged Bigby and just saw the good in him.

If you read Faith/Donkeyskin bio, it’s the dark plot of the little mermaid, from the widowed father to escaping with a prince. Narissa states that they used to call her the little mermaid. So Faith is glamored as Narissa.

If Faith is glamoured as Nerissa, then the head in EP1 which looks like Faith needs to be Nerissa's head which is glamoured to look like faith? man this ending still confuses my brain 😂

People seem to forget that bigby never knew faith or nerissa . But he noticed a familiar smell on "faith" in the beginning of Episode 1 . Meaning it was little red riding hood all along and both the little mermaid and faith were dead before TWAU even began. She glamoured herself as the little mermaid and faith so that she could hide her identity like "donkeyskin ". It literally started out with the OG fairytale in epsiode 1 ; WOODY , WOLF and LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD !!!

(I haven't watched yet) It's obviously Faith and not Nerissa. Faith has the background of disguising herself, Nerissa doesn't, so the twist wouldn't have as distinct of a effect without that tie in to her story narratively. Not to mention when the mirror was asked about Faith we weren't shown her severed head (which by then, the spell should have been broken on Faith at least), like how we saw her fathers bones, which means the magic on the ribbon was still up at the time and that corpse is not her, it's possible her corpse wasn't shown cause it's glamoured, but I'll ride with the former cause of the mirror's "lips are sealed" phrase associated with the ribbons. keep in mind that Lily wasn't revealed to be a troll till her glamour was opened, which could be the case with Faith's corpse that her glamour was simply never opened after she was killed. That with Swiney's blood test needing more time and all and the fact that Nerissa has Faith's mannerism's like how she smokes and her speaking pattern. The evidence for it actually being Nerissa is too weak by comparison.

I like to believe that each game is based off a individual case that we get to personally solve these games are great this one especially. Also has anyone ever talked about the magic of the ribbons the fable lore ?

I'm just gonna put my (extremely late) two-cents into the mix, and right now I'm just gonna say, almost all of this is a theory. There are only 2 things that can be deemed fact in this mystery. I'm gonna establish a lot of different things, so anyone who reads this, please bear with me. I think it'll be worth it. The first thing i wanna do is establish the in-universe Fables related to both women, Donkeyskin Girl (Faith), and The Little Mermaid (Nerissa). The Little Mermaid follows a girl who is willing to make extremely desperate sacrifices that bear no benefit on her for the people she cares about. Donkeyskin follows a girl who ran away from home, assuming a new identity to escape an extremely dark situation. Both of these Fables will fit what i believe happened. Personally, it took a lot for me to think up, and i did a lot of flipping back and forth between theories, but eventually settled on this: the woman Bigby meets at Toad's apartment building is the same woman who is dead. Not even mentioning the fact that the bruising is identical (which is a very difficult feat to accomplish), just think back on the scene in front of the Woodland apartments. There is wet blood on the fencepost and cement. Wet blood, despite the fact that, when we first meet Nerissa (fully nude i might add), there are no injuries that could produce such copious amounts of blood found anywhere on her body. You see, the mistake Bigby made was assuming that the blood he found was the result of an injury sustained by the person who left the head. The simple fact is, he was dead wrong. That blood belonged to the head laying before him. It was severed no more than 2 hours before being placed on the Woodland's front steps, and Bigby had been sleeping for who-knows how long before Snow found the head. The timeframe fits perfectly, is what I'm saying. Besides that, we know (thanks to the track marks on Lily's corpse) that the glamours being used at the Pudding and Pie arent perfect. Theyre not great at covering wounds. I'd also like to add that the mirror keeping it's lips sealed doesn't mean anything. Just like how Bloody Mary can use her powers against it, the mirror cant workaround all magic. The only thing it means when the mirror cant find Faith, is that there are limits to its power. Even it has to adhere to the rules of magic. It doesn't mean Faith is alive or dead. We have no way of confirming if the magic binding the ribbons persists after death, and that is because Telltale purposely made it impossible to ask the mirror to show us Lily, since her death is without question. My guess, though, would be yes, since the only confirmed way to break the spell was to get rid of the original user. Still cant be confirmed, since we cant console the mirror after Vivian's death. Anyways, my point is, Telltale purposely crafted this mystery to be unsolvable. That was probably their number one goal in creating this story. Still, i think there's enough evidence to say two things: 1.) Bigby did meet the woman who's head was found in front of the Woodlands 2.) Regardless of which woman is alive and which is dead, eventually Faith and Nerissa became one and the same person. Personally, my belief is that Nerissa is dead, and Faith is alive, and i hold that belief for one simple reason: it fits both of their Fables perfectly. Nerissa, choosing to take the fall for a friend, hoping she'd be able to talk her way out of it, but eventually sacrficing her life, and Faith, assuming a new idenity to escape another seemingly hopeless situation. I believe that Bigby met a glamoured Nerissa as Faith, who was killed a couple hours after their meeting, and he met Faith glamoured as Nerissa, continuing her life for her, trying to give her best friend the happy ending she deserved. That's just my personal opinion and belief. There are only 2 real facts that can be discerned about this situation from the clues and evidence given to us by the game, and theyre listed above. Edit: frankly, if im being honest, i dont think theres an answer they could give that would satisfy everyone. No matter what, bc of how they crafted the mystery, there is always something to pick apart, and onlt theories to use as answers. Like, if Faith's alive, why did she break into her own lockbox, especially the one that didn't need a key? Was it just to make it look like someone else had gone through it, or did Nerissa have it when she was killed in Faith's place? Point being, theres no clear-cut answer. No matter what, there are holes to dig into. If Telltale are going to give us an answer in Season 2, it'll be extremely indirect. Edit #2: YOU ACTUALLY CAN CONFIRM IF THE RIBBON MAGIC PERSITS AFTER DEATH. You have to arrest the Woodsman, get him to talk about Lily, then talk to the Toad's and tell Snow you'll examine the body "in a minute". During this time, you can interact with the mirror and ask it about Snow, what the Toad's were doing, or if it knows the Killer. Then the conversation ends, but if you interact with it again, options to ask about Fables shows up, and Lily is there. Once again, the mirror says it's lips are sealed, 100% confirming that the magic of the ribbons binds the women after death. Although, I still think it lends more credence towards the fact that Faith is alive bc of the difference in what he says when you ask about each. With Faith he says "through powerful magic, her whereabouts concealed. Unfortunately for you, these lips are sealed". The only thing similar he says about Lily is that his lips are sealed.

There is also option 3 where Vivian glamours as Nerissa. That's why she won't take off her ribbon and we see another girl in the waiting line with a ribbon. There is also option 4 where it's a fable we never saw out of glamour so maybe it's Red just messing with Bigby.

I just realized you never get faiths body back. To undo the Glamor on Lily(snow) you had to un-do the glamor on the body.

Also During the opening of the game its already confirmed that it was Faith that Bigby met during the opening scenes of the game. The real question that needs to be asked as since its already established that Faith had glamoured herself as Nerissa(source: TWAU comic). Is then how does Gorgie doesn't know that he had killed Nerissa not Faith.

The part I want to know... is why was there blood in Lily's room when she died supposedly by "Georgie" when it was Crane that was supposed to be having a "session" with her at the time?!? .... and not to mention that no one REALLY knew the truth in the end (who killed the girls / made the order) as Nerissa didn't know the truth and she just guessed when she "confessed" in the trial. Also who did TJ hear when he was describing the situation underneath the bridge when Lily/Snow's glamoured body was thrown into the river. "I heard someone say, stop laughing!" Who was he hearing ? These don't make sense to me, more than who Faith/Nerissa was

I think Faith is alive, because of what the mirror said. If faith was alive she would still have the ribbon spell. and thats why the mirror said what it said. One thing I dont understand is why nerissa would be glamoured as faith at the time of her death?

Impressive ... all of that without even once taking into account the graphic novel adaptation of The Wolf Among Us ... the graphic novel adaptation that has been released ages ago ... the one that tells us which player choices were really canon (since the game is canon to the graphic novels, it means the graphic novel adaptation of the game is what truly happened, independently of individual player choices) ... the one also massively expanding on the lore of the main antagonists and their true motivations ... the one that tells us if Bigby goes after the girl, in the very last moment of the video game ... the definitive piece of evidence that shows us the true fate of that girl, on the very last page ... impressive, indeed... 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

3:29 I’m only at this part but my theory is that Narissa glamored as faith in the first episode reasons as to why maybe about the woodland I’m not sure why but the reason as why faith head was left at Bobby’s doorstep is bc of the this scene here where he gives “faith” all the money he had to try and help her out then Narissa would see that he would be able to help bc of this action here. Faith is already dead at this point and Narissa maybe to figure out for herself as to why went through her routes to try and discover hints to leading up to it hence when faith gets the photo of lily and crane. That’s all I’ll add if I think of more.

In the little mermaid (original) Nerissa dies. In Faith's story, she puts on a disguise and gets away. Seems obvious to me narratively speaking.

4:54 damn really? I thought the game would start out with Bigby chasing Nerissa, finding out the truth or maybe a hint to the truth and then there is like a scene cut where a few months pass and then we're at the point where Bigby and Snow are kinda split up like they said..

I hope more info comes out about the sequel so that we know where this might take place(I especially hope they do a question answer thing before you even play the sequel so that they know how the game will play out based off of what you did before.)

Actually the mystery was solved by Telltale already if you search for the TWAU comic, you will find pretty much the Canon story for the game, including confirming that Narissa was Faith, and also what was happening with a lot of characters in the game series.

The biggest problem I habe with Faith being Glamured to look like Nerissa is think about when we were examing Lily's bidy glamoured as Snow White she transformed back to her true from wouldn't have Faith's head transformed back to Nerissa's head when we discovered the head

If you make different choice i mean interrogating the Huntsman instead of Tweedle Dee, you have the option to ask the mirror about Lily instead. It gives the same "These lips are sealed" response, despite her being dead right in the other room. Didn't you know this?

I hope we never find out. That's what makes good story telling. If we find out, it'll permanently ruin the ending. Leaving us in a perpetual state of unresolved tension is what makes the ending so special

But if faith is glamour as nerissa then where did she get her head (faith’s head) to put on the stairs? Unless she glamour someone else’s head to look like hers and where did she find a head to do that.

Since TWAU 2 is going to be starting with a timeskip than that's all you need to know that there will be no follow up on the storyline that started in TWAU 1, I think most likely they will keep the TWAU comic story Canon and use that as a base, while introducing new characters and also keep some of the original cast still part of it.

This is not a cliffhanger. It's an ambiguous ending. Revealing the "truth" would completely betray the point of having it in the first place. It's same reason Bladerunner 2049 doesnt answer whether Deckard is a replicant. The answer is never as satisfying as the speculation. No. Season 2 needs a new case, a new story.

Pretty sure the writers came out last year and said there wouldn't be a follow-up on the cliffhanger, because they don't consider it "a cliffhanger" for some reason? I really hope they aren't the main writer

I'm guessing Dorothy could be Faith/Nerissa. Sure she could be her own character who isn't killed off and have her identity stolen via glamour, but the way she isn't phased by Bigby's form is as similar as Mary but has that passive vibes like Faith/Nerissa, makes me thing they're bringing her back. Can't keep it completely ambiguous since you were given the option to follow her as well.

I think that was Nerrisa. Faith is too obvious based on her all background. It’s just obvious, while Nerissa is a twist plot that managed to be a bit different than just her background. If Nerissa managed to do all these things is genius, but when we talk about Faith is just getting too obvious.

I hope this cliffhanger is answered in season 2

Im confused, Faith had donkey skin that hides her so thats why the mirror cant see her, NERISSA (the lier) says she is "the little mermaid." The head is the og head but we cant find faith with the mirror even with her head detached, so either the head has some of the donkey skin in it, or her body has it rapped around, or faith is Nerissa and faiths head is the little mermaid, "people used to call me the little mermaid." the little mermaid died and faith pretended to be her so bigby would stop the killer. I think Faith is NERISSA and the little mermaid was the head, but this theory does not work with the husband though. So thats why im confused. Could it be that faith head is faith but the ribbon still works after death?
