this is probably the best fucking series I've seen all year. I'm so happy I was able to make something from this. I still have chills, it's so raw and important. Sorry, the quality sucks I still don't know how to render my videos on this new computer.

This show helped heal my inner child. I watched my mom go through this and begged her to leave him since the age of 5. But financially she couldn’t support 5 kids on her own. She kicked ass and got us out of there and this show made me feel for her because she went through all of this

My abuser called me boring, more than once. He used it as an excuse for his cheating. He used to say horrible things about me and I think that stuck with me. I never left because I always told myself that I would not find anyone who really loved me, I had no self-love and that was what had given him power over me , but now that time has passed, I really do not care that it can be boring because I like calm and quiet , I like who I am. thanks for this video

I have never seen a show so relatable to my life. Everything she has dealt with I have been through. Even now I am not with my abuser but I still feel like I'm in a huge pit. I have tried to dig my way out but things keep tumbling onto me. I have not given up yet. But I don't see myself doing this much longer

Thank you for making this video. I'm going through a dark time right now due to my ex-boyfriend. He abused me for six years and it took me a long time to get away from him due to his manipulative tactics, gaslighting me, and telling me that nobody else could love me. He'd also drink and take his anger out on me, and even poured alcohol over my head one night. That's such a mind game they play with you. They'll always remind you that you'll have nobody if you end up leaving them. Another thing they do is try to get you to feel sorry for them, by crying, tell you their depressed, suffering and that it's your fault in some way. He did this many many times when he felt like I was close to leaving him. I spent so many years blaming myself and I've also lost friends. Even on social media, which I rarely log onto anymore, because I came forward with speaking out. People will always judge you. I don't speak about it anymore. I'm now with a therapist and progressing everything, learning to heal and love myself for once before I ever get into a relationship again. I watched this video and cried, but thanks for making this video. I think it'll help other survivors of abuse speak out. Please don't be silent. You are not to blame. "I been on this carpet. I've lost weeks of my life to this carpet." That scene got me.

Anyone coping with so much stress and whose self esteem has been messed up might be fooled by someone they once cared for promising to change. It happens to so many people, it's an impossible situation and many are killed by those who abuse them. She did her best

Nate wasn't really fair to her. He took her in because he wanted to sleep with her. But she wasn't being responsible either. She didn't put her foot down when ex was rude to him, and she should've called to let him know she'd be coming back late.

@@Exquisite11not excusing anything more so just explaining, but these guys really do swoop in during these tumultuous overlaps and transitions during these women’s lives. These guys just get that ‘I’m gonna save her and she’s gonna owe me so bad.’ fantasies stuck in their heads. It was a vulnerable time, she is trying to shake off a trauma bond with her abuser. What should be an interim of healing and getting her on her feet is this Ill timed courtship. expectation of some transaction for his kindness and aid. I won’t dismiss she was rude or confused at times and it can look a certain way seeing a pining guy babysit for the girl he likes while she’s still dealing with her ex . Whenever she went to her ex it wasn’t like this romantic escapade, it was scary and sad. Her dissociating and just falling back into bad habit. It’s not a random fact that it takes multiple tries for people to gets away from manipulative abuse. If he had any realism in his head he would not expect a relationship in that bubble of time. Many irl women Try to date while being stalked/having a retraining order on the ex. They go through a lot of shame and guilt by trying to bring someone else to their "drama". Idk I just think it’s not a cut and dry he good and she bad situation. Lot of nuance. The whole drama of it all is no one is perfect here and there’s a lot of fear, avoidance, and resentment bubbling in her. She’s in survival mode and people get selfish in that state, especially if a kid is in the mix.
