I just wanna write here and tell whoever reads this comment that by listening to dave's "nagging", I will feel the freedom soon and you will too. Now I'm only left with 15k loan of 3.99% interest 1 year tenure which I'm aiming to pay off in 4-5 months. 2 months ago I hv a 46k of 8.38% loan of 7 years tenure. Thanks a lot Dave!! Watching your video is free of charge but I saved so much more. I am become wiser every time I watch your video

It's amazing to see a couple with 2 kids making this happen. Congrats!! It took me until age 39 but without a family to pay my house cars and all debts. Plus, soon, 150k income. No excuses, people, it can be done!!! 😊

My aggressive mutual funds get 20-30% during a good market year and 10-12% in slower years. I’m young so I don’t mind the roller coaster. Worth it when you’re young and making less. When I’m older and making more, better to diversify further closer to retirement. YES - they go up and down as they trend up. I just keep invested and the gains are exponential. My mom is also invested similarly and my dad remarked late last year how crazy awesome those mutual funds were to accelerate her retirement since she’s younger than him. We were impressed and loving it! I used to be in American Fund which was 10-12% in my individual brokerage account. My retirement is in Janus Henderson funds (Roth IRA with them and Roth 401k picked their mutual fund in that account) - just picked the most aggressive funds and bam. I’ve also done some swing trading with individual stocks (Boeing, Tesla, etc.) that’s just for fun with side cash but I did double my money in several months and used it as a deposit on my wedding venue which was pretty awesome.

@@michiganabigail Average rent for a one bedroom in NYC is $3195. Average rent for a one bedroom in America is $1688. A rental for 1200 sq ft at $1600 is a great deal for a lot of America. I don't think most of the people going on the show who have gotten out of debt live in major metro areas - they'd be paying down a lot more debt. Good for them for being able to make good salaries in less expensive areas! Interesting to see.

is it a good time to buy a house with a 20% down payment? or should i just ride out the market and pay even more down or in full in a few years, when the market hopefully returns to "normal" if that ever happens...
@michiganabigail

I would recommend waiting. The market is never going to go down, but the prices will plateau and stabilize. And then you’ll be able to get an even smaller mortgage!

Only if you have a fireproof safe. But better yet, you can keep some silver and gold coins in your home which appreciate in value to sell when the market is shaky. Guns and ammo, other survival gear and food and seeds, are the best items to hedge against any major event like that. We don’t go crazy with it… just a stash until we can hunt/fish or things level out.

If you save up and pay cash for rentals it will take longer but your missing out on years of rental income and years of the property going up in value. Buy a rental, increase the value, refinance and use that money for the next one. Keep repeating this and you’ll soon have 10 rentals all with debt but good debt.

Hey Brooke .. idk anything about ur relationship or how big the house is or even if there’s a mortgage or how much .. the car tho .. I learned the hard way (by doing it twice) not to do a huge car payment anymore. The idea they’re talking about is this: if u can adjust ur life to have a big car payment come out of ur bank account every month, do this instead: every month save that much. U do the B’s (u beg, u borrow, u bus, u bicycle, or u ber) for 3 months and u have 3 payments (for u I think it was 675 bucks each). U wdnt have insurance payment so bank the 100 bucks a month for that too. After 3 months u have 2300 bucks in the bank, and buy a bolt bucket for 2300 cash .. not much of a car, mechanically sound, but u only need to survive 6 months in it - then u have 675x6 4000 in the bank, sell the bolt bucket for at least 1000 and buy a car for 5000 cash that lasts a year .. then u have 675x12 8100 in the bank and 2500 resale so go buy a car for 10600 cash that lasts 2 years .. 16200 bank + 5300 resale go buy a car for 21500 cash that lasts 4 years .. 32400+ 10750 is 43150 now ur buying a really nice one !!! Yada yada .. if life has a meltdown and u need to skip 2 months, ur really nice one takes 4 years 2 month instead of dealing with the stress of the repo threat letter while meltdown is in progress

That government money (public deficit) is going directly to private pockets. Hence why debt and stocks have gone up non stop for decades. You are completely backwards. Stick to personal finance. You are not the same as a country.

It doesn't matter because I'm the end...the PEOPLE still are f ucked over just as we always have been ever since Woodrow Wilson f ucked us all December 23rd 1913....without congressional vote...the federal reserve act...the IRS is NOT a legal entity in the USA. It's not a people elected federal thing...it was just labeled that way...and yes the IRS ...IS connected directly to it
