Thanks for the video, appreciate the information. I noticed you also have the Ridgid oscillating sander in your shop and I was wondering how you compare the two from a sanding performance and practicality perspective? I’m looking to purchase one of these and debating which one to get. I currently have a Wen oscillating spindle sander so the Ridgid would be a little redundant. Thanks again.

The two are quite different. The disc sander takes a couple of seconds to get up to speed, but then it does an excellent job of edge sanding. I have a 120-grit disc on it, and it cleans up rough edges very quickly. It does, however, crank out a lot of sawdust so it would be best connected to a shop vac. I'm not a big fan of the belt sander on the Ridgid machine; the disc sander is just plain much better at the job. I use the Ridgid machine exclusively with the spindles for sanding curves and it does a good job at that. Thanks for watching, and for the comments.
