I like your vibe. Thank you for not doing the faked smiles,, shocked pikachu faces, obnoxious thumbnails. It's so overdone, woodworking youtube is becoming insufferable and overly commercialized. You bring together the best qualities of some of the best woodworking youtubers out there, and in a distinctly Scandinavian way. Don't change. Lean into it! Can't wait to see how your channel grows, the most you stay true to yourself. Your channel is growing in the direction of furniture design skills of Four Eyes Furniture, the CNC/Laser/3D Printing skills of Frank Howarth, clean high res photography and minimal emotion of Pedulla Studio. Keep it up! Also, you have a bunch of nice stuff. Don't be afraid to show off the tools you like, it doesn't all have to be Festool. And everything doesn't always have to be new either, don't feel pressured to take sponsorships or free tools from Banggood/Aliexpress/Taobao. We're watching for YOU - your skill, your talent, your ideas. We don't care what brand of tool it is, or how much you paid (or didn't), and we def don't give a crap about sponsorships (most of us skip them w/ Sponsor Block browser extension, anyway). Cheers!

That phrase about not smiling or not feeling much at all really struck home. I've been growing more and more into my carpentry skills, and even when I put up my new home-made kitchen cabinets I just looked at it all and felt... nothing. My wife loved them, but there was some part of me that just wasn't happy with it. I don't know where this comes from, but a part of me craves the perfection I will never obtain.

Bro same for me. I just got font putting together the first couple doors for my kitchen. I made all the cabinets as well, and I was looking at the doors and hated them. I was so unhappy in the final product and wished I did them differently. Wife looked at them with the biggest smile and said they look amazing and she's so proud of me. But I still sat there disappointed in myself. I know I can do better, and with as many doors as I have to make I'll keep improving with each door and maybe by the final ones I might be ok with them.

I have the same issue, but I've noticed that when I see something I did well again months or years later, I get more satisfaction from it than I did when I first finished it. I think that during a project, we become so focused on minute details that it is almost impossible to be really pleased with it. But much later, we see it in a way that is more similar to the way others see it. Once the peccadilloes are no longer fresh in our minds, ability to derive satisfaction from the fruit of our efforts increases.

I like the height! I also like having tools, especially large “stationary” tools, on casters. Every time I have thought casters were unnecessary, I came to regret that decision. The not smiling, etc - is probably due to living so far north.😉 Then again, I met my wife of almost 50 years in Alaska! Best thing that ever happened to me! Stay safe!

Beautiful table, will definitely get more inspiration from it next winter when building my own. About the height of the table I was think two things. First, it might be good to also have it on casters in the new shop. Second what about just making the table lower, then if you want to take the casters away you can just add a base to the table. I have many times made what I believed to be "smart choices" for some future idea, but ended up just wasted time and effort in planning for it.

A man with perfection never smiles on his own stuff, just nod a bit and say "This will do I guess, buuuut... could've done this and this better". But when you see someone elses work you smile and enjoy it in some other way, but also if your wife gets happy from the stuff you make and she puts a smile on your face, I'd say that is a win win, because you still enjoy creation.

Remember that decision not to get the Blum undermount drawer slides? If you had, you would have had adjustments to fix the forward tilt of the drawer face. Really cool , I want one like that ! , but the cost évaluation isn’t good for professional use. You should count the work hour around 50 to 70e per hour . It might increase significantly the cost ! Anyway loving router table !

I love your honesty, and I really think forced smiles can sometimes come across as insincere if over or under done (by anyone). But then in this line of work, I suppose there is an element of performance needed to engage the viewer? I love it when makers show the mistakes made alonge the way, because it's honest, human and actually very usfuluseful for viewers. But I also really appreciate the time and effort put into the production value of the content, which is another form of art, much like acting, just with a different set of tools? But if you are not happy about some part of the end result, or have ideas of how it could have been better (even though it's too late now), please do always share those thoughts. When you said "here's a bit of me not acting", I thought, "oh shit, here we go. This is going to be weird, or sad or something". But then you just said some normal shit like a totally normal human being, and it was... normal 🙂 I enjoyed this video very much, so you must be doing something right. You do you, man. You are not only a maker, but also an educator, entertainer, performer, an inspiration to many and a business man, so I suppose there is a difficult line between being your true self, and what you present to the camera, while being all those things at once. That does not sound easy at all, but here you are, killing it 👍🏻 Very often, I do not give myself enough credit or praise for the things I have achived (which is far less than you have achieved tbh), so I think a lot of this "advice" should also be aimed towards myself lol. I hope maybe you can find more joy from your creations in the future, you deserve it.

Nicely planned with the 3d prints and combination with the woodwork. I frequently use 3d printing to hybridise my builds and for such tasks as template guides, bracing/ports in my speaker builds etc. As regards you and how you behave on camera - I genuinely wish majority of KZfaqrs would ditch what I call the "YT Cadence", a juddering unnatural rate and pitch variance of speech that combines with false positivity to be super irritating. An end to BS click bait titles and dishonest thumbnails on YT would be gold to. Be yourself - and be appreciated a whole lot more for it :).

Very nice work and original features. Have to smile when you talk about being mediocre, you’re well beyond that. But I know, always striving for being better, next time. 😅 Throw in witty dry humour - and we get to smile and laugh while learning and getting inspiration. Far from mediocre! 🤘
