Yes that is true and most of the time I use a mask, but sometimes I forget. The good thing though is that this black mdf doesnt contain any formaldehyde at all.

Success with an Etsy shop is hit-or-miss just like having a KZfaq channel. I have over 65k subs on my channel yet I'm not monetized, so zero income, even with millions of views. I also created an Etsy shop a few years ago (totally unrelated) and while it will never generate enough income to be my primary income I have had several thousand sales. You just have to keep throwing out different ideas until something sticks. The alternative is getting a "real job" and working for someone else, like 99% of the world. We're the 1% who actually dare to do something different. It eventually pays off.

Nice work, but the costs involved in this are out of reach for a lot of people, you could probably purchase a decent table router for what you paid for your festool plunge saw! Having said that, it does look bloody awsome

Get the TS75 from Festool, it's such a worthwhile upgrade.. We got it for the cut depth, but it's a better machine in general because it has a much stronger motor.

I had a lot of concerns with this printer when it was revealed... and it seems I was mostly right. making a "bigger printer' isn't just slapping it on a bigger frame... there is a lot more to consider. a printer printing THIS large, needs to be pellet fed. not filament based. Which drastically reduces the cost of plastic. ($2 per kilo in some cases, non wood filled) but also, a printer of this size, SHOULD be enclosed and camera monitored with at least 'spaghetti detective' ability, like you experienced, it is far too common for just a simple issue to cause a problem that makes it fail - and losing TONS of hours/plastic from an early failure, (say 4 hours into a 16 hour print) - is devastating even for prototypes. the 4 beds all spring/screw is also another problem... even if you spend hours getting that all leveled out - it won't be long before it needs re-adjusted. Either software needs to compensate, or, a better bed design. (at least it wasn't a bed slinger design) I do agree that the bed should be stationary though, with the flying gantry system of printing - as the weight of large objects (like chairs) could otherwise over power any standard motors to keep the bed in place, or make it move much farther than 1 layer at a time. The opposing solution to this is - stronger motors, but those are more costly too. I really see this machine as a prototype. It needs far more work to be used in any real sense, especially as everyone who has had one - complains of things like the print head digging into the bed, or broken heat breaks - almost every machine sold has had these issues.. showing it wasn't ready in the first place.

I totally understand you having to learn woodworking with inherited woodworking tools. The only difference between us is you are much younger than I am, as a retired person I see no need to go out and buy expensive tools to replace what I have that still works very good. If I was your age again I would be looking at those tools too. I enjoy your videos very much for several reasons; your narrative keeps me informed not only on what your doing but you also add comments of why you went the way you did, you also are not afraid of pointing out errors and how you fixed ( or trashed) the piece with the error, and last being mostly Swedish and a little Norwegian and have distant cousins in the Mora area I I enjoy your work for that reason too. Keep your content coming!

It's not really for making hollow flat pieces. Or shapes that are easy to carve or cut or lathe or otherwise machine. Or joinery. It's for large complex curved surfaces and shapes that would be enormously difficult to machine or carve. Organic complex shapes is what the 3d printing allows and thrives on. Combined with AI powered design based on strength calculations, you get some otherwise unattainable optimizations on shape and material. Some of the newer slicers offer non-uniform infill with complex patterns where the strength and mass is where it's needed. With the huge volume and long print times and growing pains, this might not be a production tool yet for a bit. Try printing a rosebud the size of a chair vs carving it out of wood. Don't sit on it.
