We are thinking about buying a high wall as our first popup , our only concern is keeping it cool does the a.c in these keep it pretty cool inside especially in the southern states .

When we were looking for our first pop up, we had a few owners swear there was nothing at all wrong with their unit, but we found obvious issues such as mold, rot, soft floors, leaks, torn canvas, etc. If they aren't honest about the obvious, who knows what else are they hiding? Due diligence is required, and there's no such thing as a stupid question when you're looking to invest your hard-earned money. Great video.

This will be very helpful to me. I'm a 64 year old woman. I've camped full time the last two summers...in a tent...and I loved it...but this year I'm looking to get either a popup or there's one that is a camp trailer that has the tent ends for the beds. Either type I believe your tips will be very helpful. Thanks.

@@ItsPoppin got it, it's a Viking, got it for $2000 and it was parked for 8 years so I got a really good deal, going to give it a clean and a pressure wash tommorow. These tips really helped me to purchase my camper. Thank you.

We found soft spots after we bought our pop-up. Working on it... lots of work to change something that seems so easy. :0) And we have some patching to do. Changed the tire on the way home with the nice spare it had. That's it so far. Gah...

I always like asking when the last time the bearings were packed when we’re looking at a pop up. When the answer is, “the what,” I guess I know the answer is probably never - lol.

Im buying a 2011 forest river 425d this Friday, How can i make sure the AC works when he has it plugged into the house 110 outlet? Thought we would need min 20-30 amp to run the AC?

You're right. You need at least a 20 amp to be safe. My only other thought is a generator.

Is there generally a gas regulator in front of a furnace installed in a popup? I'm thinking about removing my regulator from the gas tank.

Yeah, that's my understanding. If you remove the regulator that's going to affect everything downstream, including thr furnace, stove, water heater, etc.

@@ItsPoppin, what I mean is, if I remove the regulator from the tank, do you think there is a regulator in line with the furnace somewhere down the gas line? The reason I am doing this is because there is a regulator on the tank and on the carry out stove. The pressure to the carry out stove is SUPER weak.

Okay, not to my knowledge. There are different makes and models out there so I would get ahold of a manual to double check and also trace the gas line from the furnace to the first regulator to double check.
