The iPhone X is the latest Apple flagship smartphone. With the iPhone X Apple has entered the realm of near bezel-less smartphones. The screen-to-body ratio on the iPhone X is one of the most impressive on the market. The camera on the iPhone X is also market leading and competitive with the Google Pixel 2 XL. Many users will be happy living with the iPhone X but I think the purchase is tough to justify. Given the emergence of truly high quality smartphone options retailing for half the price. Devices like the OnePlus 5T, Essential Phone, Razer Phone and even the heavily discounted Samsung Galaxy S8 offer better value for money. The iPhone X is not twice as good as any of those devices. Of course, this is my opinion… There is no perfect smartphone, just the best smartphone for you. The iPhone X will be great for some but I think most would be better served pocketing the extra $500 and grabbing something like the OnePlus 5T.

The biggest downside to the iPhone X is the camera app. Why is there no option to take photos in different aspect ratios that fill the whole screen when taking photos? The huge black bars make the iPhone X look old.

Not you at least. If someone says they get $1000 value's worth with the iPhone X, then they do. Value is perceived by the user, not determined by the price. Any apple fanboy will tell you that they get twice the value than a $500 Android device, because value is not only how much it costs.

Not at all unless we are talking about iPhone 5 variants, these are 6 year+ old phones Androids have that issue in all their phones, a phone lasts a maximum of two years before getting no more support and even before, Android is not as well optimised as iOS, thus it feels kinda laggy and stuttery

Bought the iPhone X on launch day on a drizzly November day of 2017, it's been 2 1/2 years since and my man... was the best choice ever. This thing is still rolling, maybe the 12 or OnePlus 9(if it kept the 7T's style) will be the first small temptation for an ugprade, there just isn't a phone on the market that exists making me want to replace this one.

In retrospect you can see why the X was a $1000 phone back then. Because of longevity. It's now the only phone here that still supports latest official OS updates, not just security updates. And it would probably still get supported for another 2-3 years. Even checking today's benchmarks, the phones here are nowhere close to X's performance.

i don’t know i really love iphone x yeah that whole face scanning is annoying and yeah it does miss more often than fingerprint would however it is still cool, the photos are MAGICAL the camera is from another planet, i like that is waterproof i can take too the pool, it is also very resistant to falling, the only complain i have is its weight it feels a little heavy but other than that it is a great iphone which i recommend you buy it and it is worth 999$ which apple charges for it

I went back to apple as i found them to a reliable and simple user experience. Might be way to expensive for what they are but they at least provide more software updates over longer periods than android. How long does it take Samsung to deliver major updates once your $1000 dollar Galaxy Note or $700 Galaxy phones get to over 1 years of age? I would look at android again if this ever get fixed.

Chrisroc1 He didn't say anything about flagships. He said that "good phones are getting cheaper". You have pseudo-flagships like the OnePlus devices, the Essential Phone, and other third-party manufacturers getting great performance at lower and lower price points when they should be at least $600 with all the features they pack in. Apple is still overpriced, but their older phones aren't obsolete. Bottom line, yes, good phones are getting cheap, and not to mention, cheap phones are getting good.

I realize this is a older video however I had to leave a comment. I've always been a avid Android user since the first one came out. I've also been waiting for a iphone to just play with that I could afford and finally purchased a refurbished 10 X from a Mississippi carrier named Cspire for a total of$95.00 including a 10gb plan. It's in perfect condition. I finally have to admit that this little device is the smoothist device I've owned and I love the way it fits the hand. Glad I saved my six Androids though because of the tiny keyboard and lack of customization features of iphone. One question was this iphone 10 X a good deal in 2022 for $45.00 the rest of the amount was activation and plan price? I stand by my belief that iphones are outrageously priced.
