Jennifer is spot on. I was in uni when this trans lunacy surfaced, 2013ish, and there were two guys who had previously been super uncomfortable around women and kind of just weirdos. But I'd always been very kind to them and concerned for their feeling of social ostracism. Then suddenly they became 'women'... It was the most off-putting thing seeing their bizarre new personas play out. But what I did see was that all of a sudden, these two dweebs who previously women would steer very clear of, were suddenly welcomed into intimate female spaces. And then in spite of the fact that I'd been one of the only people to show them kindness, I was suddenly enemy number one being what they called a 'transphobe'... It's a dam shame all of this perversity.

For anyone looking for new terminology, “Pro-abortion” has served me well. A liberal friend of mine were talking about this issue, and in conversation, I said, “Well, the pro-life stance is different from the pro-abortion stance” (b/c 1. I didn’t want to offend her and shut down communication, and 2. That term felt proper), and she interrupted and said, “well, it’s “pro-choice”. I responded, “Pro-choice is for choosing abortion, so, it’s the same thing”, and continued on 🤣

This is a great point. Even those on the right will use the term “biological male” a lot. But when you do that, you are only making the left’s point stronger. Because it implies that male and female can also exist outside of biology. It would be better to just use the terms male and female.

Why does the argument over abortion always start with pregnant women? Couldn’t we start the conversation one step back where it actually begins? You know, with sex. Then maybe we could talk about people’s RESPONSIBILITY for their actions.
@Mish844
@Mish844 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't start with sex, it starts with bedroom etc etc. Putting aside the silliness of your reasoning, we have to cover *why* it's silly. And it's simple - sex is not smth to control or punish for. If you think otherwise, then that would be pretty hard mask off moment in terms of authoritarianism, or worse thing I won't call out because it causes meltdown in american conservative mind. More importantly, your sacred book doesn't have pwoer to put any responsibility on me, that's called wishful thinking. However, there is a very specific responsibility on me caused by havng sex, regardless of my bieliefs - choose between keeping pregnancy and aborting it. I think that's the RESPONSIBILITY in caps you were refering to.

"Prevention is better than 'cure' " and all that sort of things. But regulating one's own sexual consumption is not even conceivable (sorry for the unintended pun) in this culture of unbridled "freedom".

@@marcihf217 Even if we were to concede that abortions in cases of rape and incest would make sense this would obviously not extend to 15+ weeks. Definitely not to late term abortions which they also argue for. Because a woman who has been sexually assaulted or is the victim of incest would know that she's pregnant before the last few weeks of pregnancy which means she could have reasonably made that decision sooner. So, if we were to come up with abortion schemes on a state-by-state level in the U.S. this would mean that we would simply make exceptions early in pregnancy for abortions in those cases or simply have an very early pregnancy time cutoff. It wouldn't mean that all cases that involve a woman's choice to have an abortion should be accepted. For example, we would also expect that a person who is a victim of incest who wishes to have abortions between 7 and 9 months be able to talk about the reason so that justice might be done. We could even say in cases of rapes or incest a person who has been able to prove that happened should be granted a court order for an abortion. These are things reasonable and sane people can talk about and work out on a state-by-state basis. What we should not allow to happen is for someone who clearly wasn't the victim of rape or incest to use that as an argument for abortion up to birth because this is as predatory as the person who did that to a victim. For a woman who wasn't sexually assaulted who is in week 30 to say that abortion should be available in week 30 because of rape and incest is sick and twisted. She has no problem using the tragedy and trauma someone else experienced to act as cover for her delayed decision.

Most just dressed up in private and if they went out in public they could be arrested if they went into female public toilets etc or if they tried to deceive or make a nuisance of themselves in any other way. Or they were just figures of fun, a few became entertainers ['drag acts']. Now it seems we are expected to go along with their pretence.

@@albertfralinger2711 Thanks for your comment Albert. Is one pro-choice or pro-abortion? Test them out Albert, this is how I do it, thus far they've all shown their hand as really pro-abortion. Try this.... "As a pro-life person I'll tell you what; I'll give you the outlier cases, an abortion is fine for rape/incest etc. (because that's where they, so-called pro-choice people ALWAYS go), will you then concede that the other 300,000 plus (in the U.S.) abortions in the U.S. are unnecessary and thus shouldn't be allowed?" Now you'll find out their true motives. This is where they show themselves, usually they become adamant for abortion. And when they shift their position (always do that when they've lost the argument) to "it's a woman's right to do to their body, My Body, My Choice" mantra. Then I say to them "okay, I agree, you decide for your own body, no argument. Now, using your own argument answer me this; is the mom's and baby's DNA an IDENTICAL match? If it's the mom's OWN BODY, it will match, so does it?" We all know the answer. Of course, the DNA doesn't match, why? It's a separate person! It's NOT the mom's own body. If they are not screaming at you at this point, but actually listening and thinking, I then say; "when did being a mom with the gift of bringing a new and precious life into the world become a bad thing? Being a parent can be the highest of callings and bring moms and dads the greatest fulfillment in life. Why is that a bad thing?" Try it Albert, let me know how it goes.

I got a lot of fleck from the pro-life movement who said we had to use their terms to show a want to come together. I found it absurd that I would pretend to believe (as a woman who conceived in rape) that the anti-human life movement believed in choice. Its a lot easier to have never had boobs than to have them surgically removed after, for instance. Let kids go through thorough psychological evaluation while on puberty blockers and then let then, when they figure out if they really are trans or not, they can transition or stop taking puberty blockers and proceed to their gender naturally.

@@queent3343 Killing innocent human beings is a one-sided issue, so yes, I’m on the side that doesn’t try to justify murder. You don’t have to believe in Jesus to believe killing is wrong. Pro-lifers haven’t been the ones burning down those charities and clinics, which are designed to actually help women and children (rather than kill the children and send the women back off into whatever mess got them there to begin with). If they convince a woman not to murder her own child, usually by offering financial support or a loving family to adopt the kid, why is that a bad thing? Are pro-choicers only pro-choice if the choice is killing? Why is Planned Parenthood shutting down in states banning abortion if they (and other pro-choice clinics) help mothers and children? You’re right that a child is forever. Once a child is conceived, the parents are parents forever. The question is whether or not they want to kill their child (which is also forever, a permanent denial of life and all human rights) or, at bare minimum, give that child to one of the many loving families on the adoption waitlist so that child can live a happy life.

Or maybe a term animal it describe both cats and dogs so people who use it must be liars. Trying to win discussion by clinging to semantics and definitions is pointless as it can only convince convinced.

Here is the issue: many of us are not one way or the other about the extremes of abortion. There is a big difference between someone wanting to make sure victims of sexual assault and young women who make mistakes can continue having access to Plan-B. That only works on pregnancy not even detectable and only effects a jumble of stem cells that had a 30% chance of ending replication anyway (statistically) If you want that banned, that is an extreme. The other extreme are the people saying it's always okay no matter often the procedure happens and no matter what stage of pregnancy. Many of us fall between the two extremes. I personally always wanted to know this about people who protest and pass out flyers in front of Planned Parenthood: I am just as disgusted by people eating meat as you are by abortion. Yet, if vegetarians ever stood in front of your grocery-store and passed out flyers on veganism, you would get angry. Or better yet, how about a large TV screen displaying animals being slaughtered and loud speakers blasting the sound for you to hear? Something tells me you wouldn't appreciate that.

Let me put it this way, since you are here...and who knows...maybe you're a Catholic...or some Protestant denomination. First...most if not all here who view this channel believe in the existence of God. Now, since we believe in God, we believe that he came to earth in a form of a human being. While in the womb he was not partial God or a zygote-God so to speak...he was full God as he was full human being in that womb.

@@kyler9323 no, eating meat when we have an alternative is not ethical or just. It is the unnecessary destruction of a life. Late term abortion is one thing, but that is a different story.

@@rumrunner8019 A child recently born doesn't know its name either...so I guess it's also as worthless as a five week old clump of cells. In fact a child doesn't really have much response or is cognizant of much or its surroundings months after it's born. It just lies there helpless. I suppose until it comprehends its own name we can attach value and worth? In terms of hierarchy of importance in that case, then definitely a cow is worth more care and concern. Definitely, have your priorities in alignment. You would think that one who 'CARES' so much about "the unnecessary destruction" of life and his fellow animals he would at least extend that courtesy to those within their own species. Oh the irony of the vegans...

You had an alternative to eating the flesh of a poor, innocent animal that suffered and died. You could have eaten any countless numbers of cruelty free foods. @@philippbosnjak4183 the problem is this is a complex issue being shoe horned by some basic principles and it does not work - at least for me. The basic principles are sound - sanctity of life and no infanticide. However applying them to pregnancy is problematic at best from my point of view. There is a qualitative difference between a zygote, an embryo, and an infant. So there is scope there for discussion but closer and closer to term seems more and more wrong. This issue is further muddied by the simple fact that we do not honour the sanctity of life in other ways. Post partum care in the US for those who can't afford it is not good or systematic. And if life were so sacred why are our hands drenched in blood from supporting and initiating wars all over the world. This inconsistency really bothers me. Finally...it's ok to be "pro life" and practice it in your family. But to impose it on other people who do not believe what we believe is wrong. It's the first step towards theocracy and that's not an appealing prospect. Especially since as aforesaid this matter is complex. God gave us all free will and while we choose to exercise it in one way others do not and to try control the free will of others in such a deeply private matter does not seem Christ like. We can try convince them through discussions and debates but to use legal force to compel them to change their minds is counter productive and unethical. So the fact that's Pints is being so belligerent on the apparent success on this deeply contested and private issue is un-Christ like and just unappealing to me. Bring back Mother Natalia and discuss God's grace and mercy through the filokalia.

If a society doesnt know what is good and what evil it is not a surprise that things like war will become common. Russia has had a righ rate of abortions and was the first country to allow them up to 9 months and Ukraine has the highest number of women who get paid for delivering babies for other people. So I dont think it is a coincidence that there is a war now. 3. We do not impose anything on society. No one says "I'm pro-marijuana choice" or "I'm pro-choice" when speaking about whether it should be legal to consume marijuana. They say "I'm pro-marijuana" and then they might qualify it and say whether they see it as a necessary evil or a positive good etc. but that is the label.

The word fetus is a nebulous term used to describe any number of life forms before birth. Pro abortionists will project the notion the birth mother has the right to choose what to do with her own body yet the unborn baby is not a clone of her dna, it has it's own unique dna and that is what makes abortion the willful murder of an unborn child.
