Overland Expo is a massive gathering of camping enthusiasts and vendors. I have been trying to find time to attend one of these expo's for years. This year I had my chance. I am going to show you what it is like to attend Overland Expo Pacific Northwest. I will cover everything from the drive to the expo, the location, camping, what premium gets you, the vendors, the experience, and the price.

Gen Pop camping had 8 showers and loads of toilets. Never lines for toilets and fast moving line for showers, if a line at all. Loved your video, can't wait to watch the one with your favorite gear from the show. New follower!!

Hey, I think it's great that you show and describe the roof space in your video. When we got it delivered to the company for the first time (we are a roof tent dealer) I was a little... irritated. But now I think it's absolutely brilliant what Jakob and Manu have put together. A lot will still develop there. Best regards from Germany

You need to come to the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, AZ. Cooler Weather and General Camping area is among trees.

Of the people/creators I met at expo PNW the Canadian crew was the friendliest. Glad I got to talk with you all while you were strolling the fields Friday night.

Overland Expos depend on location. The one north of Denver is in a not so great location. Cool stuff but why don't they do it a location like near Ouray where people actually drive from all over the country to off road? The one near Ashville, NC several years ago was great location and still small enough you didn't feel like at Las Vegas. (Too bad the weather was terrible).

Good video I’m glad you decided to do this video and bring light to what actually happens at the Expo. Especially the parts that are not so good. KZfaqrs are the ones going out and making videos about the products that are sold at these events. Personally i think you got better service from the hotel in the beginning than you did at the event. Those really didn’t look like premium tickets to me more look like the nosebleed section if you know what I mean. Too bad this event doesn’t recognize that they would not be able to hold an event like this without people like you that review these items. I believe this event has lost touch with the people that review the items and the people that buy the items looks like a big money grab to me.

I stayed at the RV park the other side of the fence from premium camping for $49 a night. I had more space, flushing toilets, and unlimited hot showers! No empty boxes of snacks for us though.

Having watched a few other videos on this event on social media’s I have to say you did a right fine job here with your take . You now have another subscriber, and a “ thumbs up “ by me . Looking forward to seeing more from your channel in months to come & if you make it to Flagstaff next year who knows , we may meet in person if not out on a trail somewhere. We went this year to that event & had a great time for our first trip ,& I met a bunch of KZfaqr’s whom we’ve followed now on social media’s. Even got my picture taken with Marco when he won the cook off!! An extremely nice group of fellow like -minded people you will not find the likes of out in the world these days . I want to attend the one that’s coming to Virginia Overland Expo East October 4th through the 6th I believe it is however I don’t understand the pricing because tickets is $300 and then there’s another ticket for $300 in the woods and then there’s like $150, but when you read the description, they’re all the same….. so of course I would take the 150….. I don’t know, though, if I’ll be able to go, but I would like to.

Great video, you definitely need to try and go to the Flagstaff Expo next year. One of my favorite venues for the expo, I feel it’s a more enjoyable location, and like others said, cooler weather.

Oregon uses a lot of blacktop on their freeways, you can definitely tell when you hit the border north or south as both California and Washington use concrete/cement.

I’m wondering if the expo people messed up or if they were volunteers, but I was thinking the premium package would have a lot more stuff for you guys. My husband and I want to camp at one next year, so maybe general camping for us!

It's pretty ridiculous that they charge per person to camp. In my opinion, they should charge per vehicle and then add the cost of a weekend day pass for the passenger. (I bet most people did that on the sly anyway, its not like they came around and checked.)

It should be called the crows nest and I don’t think aluminum is a great idea maybe harden plastic with some foam padding just in case you flipped your rig you won’t slice an ear off

OK, yeah the roads coming out of Seattle so it’s been that way for years. Traffic is just too much for the roads to handle. As to fuel mileage my supercharged Trailhawk grand Cherokee with the V6 was getting 8 to 10pm. I removed the supercharger and now I towing my 12 to 14-ish with a trailer. I’m getting around 16-18 on the Open Road no trailer. So I’d say you’re fuel economy is par for the course.

This was my third time at Expo PNW. Had a great time and met some amazing people. We camp in the general area and it’s always fun to walk around and talk to people about their rigs and where they are from. Great video. Thanks for sharing your experience! I will definitely be looking forward to trying the BBQ spot next year.

Casey has to the general camping area. It is a nicest of the ones I’ve been to. It’s in the grass right on the other side of the fence directly in front of the main entrance to the expose area. It was pretty nice and there was tons and tons of room last year. I had mechanical issues in my jeep didn’t make it this year. But General camping at Expo West is ##% pardon my French. I do think judging from last year’s PNW that it is far more organized and better put together than expo west. However, I don’t feel that it’s worth the price of admission if you’re not there to produce contact or sell a product.

Great to meet you at the expo. I was one of the ones that was helping out with the Kakadu showers and I didn’t recognize you at first but I thought you already used one of the showers. Then it dawned on me who you were and how I recognized you from KZfaq. Hope you got your premium pass back as it was left in the showers. I know it was dark in those showers and please believe we decided a lost and found. lol. Anywho great to meet you and great to relive the expo. We just got back today as we explored the Oregon and California lost cost and redwood. I live in Auburn California and am really missing the coast weather right now. 100 degrees at 10pm no bueno.
