Hey Scott , I wouldn't take issue with some of the comments I read on your videos . I am 72 years old and it's amazing how smart some of these people are ' after all most of them can't even change a tire , or think for them selves . I enjoy your videos and they are very informative . Keep them coming , and Alex is a great addition .

Seriously, I think this chick gave him the idea and he's running with it. It makes no sense your doing way more work bending over and kneeling puting blocks down and up and what he said rinsing them instead of... Moving the car forward . He's being very narrow minded in the comments he's getting.

Some of you people blow my mind!! No one is forcing you to change how you do something. This video is showing how Scott does it. It is a great tip! It is about stream lining a process and doing it efficiently and professionally. Before you start, put your blocks out, pull up and get busy. Using a jack works, but takes longer. Increases chances to damage a clients car too. 2x4, bricks, dogs, stack of playboys will work too. This is just how Scott does it. Yes you can pull forward. But in my head you are putting the clean tire in the dirt to do so. Then you have to pull forward again to dress the tire. Again what ever works in your world is fine!

Hey Scott, my SuperClean hasn’t been cleaning my tires as good as I remember lately. I don’t know if it’s just because they’re new tires or maybe it’s the rubber compound. I’m told they’re really strong, they’re called Open Range ATs. But dirt won’t come out as good as it used to. Could it be the cleaner or the tires?

Great idea, to raise the wheels. I'd probably just use a 30 pound aluminum single piston floor jack. Quick lift, might be faster since you don't have to get in and drive the car. Opens up the wheel well too, if you're pressure washing inside there first.

A lot of people in here crapping on this idea because "why not just move the vehicle forward?" Well as Scott says repeatedly, he runs a business folks. As someone with sales experience, you would he shocked at the difference this kind of thing can make for repeat business. When I was in the sales world most of my sales pitches happened outside, I changed from a brown coat to an orange coat and my success rate doubled. So ask yourself, what looks more pro?

i hate working in the cold and why i moved to dallas from new york..obviously if its really cold its hard to detail outside and you would need a garage..you can look into rinseless washing if a hose isnt available to you when its really cold..i think at my age i couldn't work if it was below 30 or worse and i would wait until spring plus waxes and sealants dont respond well when applying in those cold temps..can it be done?..yes but you need to figure out if you would be happy

Scott, I watch all your videos and have learned a great deal from them, however this one fell short and I’ll tell you why. First, in order to do all 4 tires without moving the car would require 12 blocks (3 per tire) which is the way you prefer. Second, if you do one tire at a time, it requires you to move the car so why use them at all? Third, the blocks are sold 10 to a kit therefore you need two kits. Using one block per tire would make more sense. Most detailers start with the tires so I assume the blocks are under the car for the entire wash/wax. The blocks you are using look brand new. Love the concept, just not sure how much you have actually used them. Love your channel. Just an observation.
@mercstryker
@mercstryker 2 жыл бұрын
I found them on Amazon in a 4 pack kit for $12. Personally I just do all my tires then move the car forward a foot and finish them. When I do put a finish on the I use a foaming type rubber cleaner. Then a good quality tire shine. Moving the car is no big deal in a concrete driveway that I always clean first before doing my car. No garage just a carport and concrete parking area.
