Full moon party is great but you need to take precautions as all the scammers and pick pockets are out in force as well as cops you would not like to spend time in jail over there, I would recommend people the following steps. 1) To get a cheap throw away phone with a local sim card which can be topped up at any 7/11 stores as loosing/damage or stolen phone does not hurt compared to the smart phone you have to replace. 2) Carry a driver licence as ID and keep your passport locked in the safe at the hotel as it is easier to replace that and less hassle than getting a new passport which the thieves are looking for. 3) Carry only the cash you need for the night for the same reason if you get robbed you only loose the money on you and not your credit cards. 3) For women watch out for spiked drinks as scum bags robs and rapes women back at the hotel when your passed out with your own hotel keys or have a drinking buddy looking after you. 4) The bucket drinks packs a punch don't know how much alcohol is in it but a couple of buckets and beers i was gone. And yes i passed out on the beach lost the cash about $4000 THB and drivers licence but the phone was left on my stomach so even thieves did not want a basic Nokia phone better than loosing the lot.
