Never ever dry fire a bow as a potential of exploding I do pull my bow back with out arrow but I use a wrist strap and fingers not on trigger

Releases misfire, I had one misfire due to a stripped set screw that I didn’t know about and it knocked me out cold.. I was shooting and had an arrow on the bow so it didn’t explode, so I still count it as a win

You can draw your bow without an arrow, just don’t release it

Releases misfire and you can easily accidentally dry fire it

Ugghhh 🙄🤣far too late 4 him lol 😝about a week ago at our local range I heard the loudest bow failure in my entire 30 yrs of being an archer…it sounded like a .38 pistol letting off a round…when we all turned to the direction of the sound , we saw the dude holding pieces of his pse stinger . The bottom half of the riser broke completely off at full draw 70 lbs …

Hoyt bows are dry fire tested. Its still a dumb thing to do. You will derail the bow.

They have no way to tell if it’s been dry fired

Generally if the tags are still on it, and the strings, cams, axels and limbs are all busted up, they know it was a dry fire.. one of the few exceptions would be certain bows that have 95%+ letoff, which are extremely rare. Oh, and there’s video evidence that went viral

@@norco4life518 how is steel stickers and tags on a bow evidence that it was dry fired?

Why not design a bow that doesn't explode on a dry fire?
@urmomgay01662 ай бұрын
there are bows like that, its most bows in fact its just that everyone wants a compound today

A bow has an insane amount of stored energy, without something to transfer that energy to (the arrow), the bow takes that shock.. the cams, limbs, axels and strings are generally really strong, but even super strong materials have a break point with that much of a shock load
