He may have never met that nice group of Arabs who are scared of all Orthodox Jews. If he did lie, then his Israel experience doesn't back up his claim that there are always people on both sides in a conflict that could speak to and even get along with some on the other side, and that their blanket fear is providing an obstacle to that.

I think the importance of the story is to challenge the generalizations people make about entire groups. It serves as a reminder that just because one group thinks that another group hates them, it's not true for all the individuals in that group. Especially with a barrier of fear, it's hard to get an accurate reading on what proportion of people actually hate them, vs are afraid and not communicating

If thats the story you want to believe... We (jews) always been in israel. Not always as a majority. But still had generations upon generations on this land. Western Europe and USA are sacrificing a huge amount of their tax payer money and military men to protect the interests of Israel the settler state created in 1948. You should know how come your tax payer money and men's lives are being sacrificed to aid and protect this settler state in the middle east.

The Israeli reaction is fully based on arrogance and blind hatred, the other side is not considered human. It has been like this for more than 50 years, since before Hamas existed (1986), since before Palestine Liberation Organization existed (1964), since before Israel was formed (1948). It goes back to the time of the Balfour declaration 1919 when the Zionist movement got its first victory.
