Connor Roth I don’t think so. He could put it on Xbox easily though - it works with controller. It would be cool if Steam was available on console...

I think all the voice lines being slightly different makes the character feel more real and unique of course it is an AI so you would expect him to have a completey normal monition voice but, I still think It makes the way he sounds unique.

Is it just my impression, or is recording so many lines in such a short time actually leaking the speech patterns of the character into your normal speech?

Amazing! This will add so much value and fun to the game. Can't wait to try it out! Also, I totally feel your pain regarding the editing process. Always takes SO much time. I remember having to edit 100s of voicelines for games but never quite that many. 600! Really impressive!

Have you already coded for each line when it should be called? Also, 750 voice lines is *insane* especially if you’re going to do it in English and German.

To me, audio is one of the most fun parts of the game-dev process and although you're trying to make it sound like the opposite it was great watching you have so much fun with audio and music as well. Great video!

I love the effect where at the end of the game the tiles get tilted and that one level is upside down. That's so cool!

amazing progress, the game looks, feels and seems to play out way better than I would ever expect a one man indie game to be. Love the game and would really pay full 60 bucks for it just to support you man. PS. mein deutscher Bruder xD, kenne dich noch von deinen Gamemaker 1 Jump and run tutorials.

Great job! Variety like this adds a lot to games. It is so annoying to see that even games with massive budgets resort to just a handful of canned responses that you get to hear again and again and again...

It’s a double-edged sword isn’t it? On the one hand localization will be painful. On the other hand your density of original voice work sets your game apart from other platformers.

Wow it's so scary how much time it took for the voice recording and editing.. 600.. wow, great job ! (ps: i might work on a program to name automatically the recorded voice to save me some time x) )

Automate almost the entire process preferably. You press a key and it starts recording, press a key to stop. Then one to listen back, one to delete and one to say that the recording is good. Then that goes through the whole post processing. That would be like... a days work? To put all that together. Then all you have to do is record. Instead of doing the whole thing manually. But hindsight is the best general

This game is amazing, the AI almost seems like a real person and tries to stop you. I haven't finished the game yet but it is great.

Tolles Spiel Jonas! Ist jetzt in meiner Wunschliste 😊. Hab vor 1 Woche beschlossen ein eigenes Spiel zu machen. Ohne Vorwissen hab ich mich ins "Geschehen" gewagt. Es ist nicht so einfach wie ich dachte, macht aber Spaß neues zu lernen und Vortschritte zu sehen. Hoffentlich werde ich eines Tages mit meinem Projekt fertig. 😟

Super. Das freut mich. Ich würde sehr dazu raten am Anfang mit kleineren Projekten anzufangen gerade weil man kleinere Projekte ja dann auch immernoch größer machen kann sobald sie fertig sind. ;)

Side-scrollers really aren't my thing, but you managed to make the game seem interesting and unique. The icing on the cake is the immense amount of voice lines imo. I'll buy and beat it in your honor.

If you ever have to do this again, I recommend using the program to split the file into 600 separate files, and naming them via your google sheet/csv file using bash or some other programming language. It'll save a _ton_ of time. Edit: also i absoluetly LOVE the voice lines, they're awesome.
