Must be like a time capsule in some way. I'm older so I remember when arcades were absolutely popping in the US. They were so busy you could even lowkey see girls there lmao so you'd kinda get dressed up to go, at least if you were at the age where you were into them yet. I'm talking late 80s to mid 90s. There's only one real serious one here in Southern California by where I live left. I forget the name but it's right by Mt. SAC. Maybe somebody knows the one I'm talking about.

Yeah but in this case it's the fact that it's surprising to see JP Marvel players, because it never was a big game there. The appeal just doesn't exist like in the u.s. If you look up their retro fg scene you see a bunch of SF, DS, sometimes JJBA, old KOFs, classic FF and MOTW, sometimes Samsho, etc... But Marvel is actually rare.

20 points to use. Both Sentinel and Storm worth 18 points each, so you can only pair them with trash tier characters like Roll and Servbot.

This is an amazing video and I'll tell you why: Assuming matches are for the most part in the order presented, Jwong, the absolute Don of MVC2 for like what? A decade and a half.. at least?? Is going easy on these guys all the while presenting a very humble tips and tricks attitude in this video to help them develop their talents. Then, he eventually loses one round/set and brings out some bigger guns. This man is the best at what he does in MvC2 and he's developing it more and more for the Japanese players, one of a few huge gaps in their Evo dominance. So much class shown from Justin here. If you're Japanese and want to increase interest for you in USA just take up MvC2. Done.

I love mvc2 and we just don't know about the Japan mvc2 scene in the states. When you think Japan fgc it's street fighter but nothing about vs series. Thank you j wong always keeping it💯

If you mean the Capcom games that aren't purely retro today then that's correct. That would leave only SF and Marvel. But JP is strong in Darkstalkers and Jojo among retro Capcom retro fgs. Like actually Daigo first excelled at DS before SF in the 90s when the games were new and hot in JP. Other of his fgc rivals of the time that are still known also have a hardcore DS background like Sako, Haitani, Nuki, etc.

Excellent. MvC2 is always the top shelf content. I'm amazed you lost one, good player. Maybe you can open an arcade, real coin ops, and maybe you even host an invitational every year in everything from SSFIIT to SF: Third Strike to the fighters of today, which can be sponsored by Arcade 1Up, Capcom, Panda, SNK but not the bit owned by Saudi Arabia, etc. And maybe you can live stream it over a few days for a nominal fee. I guess like EVO, but, you know, better. Just a thought, stroke of genius, whatev.

No. That juggernaught glitch in mvc2 is also very deadly. 1 juggernaught headcrush super can knock off more than half your opponent HP with power up.

@@AC-LING666 Justin works for Arcade1Up. I wouldn’t say they’re trash. They have their issues but they’re no scam like The Intellivision Amico. Those Arcade1Up arcades make a lot of people happy. Their expectations for online play for MvC2 however was set so poorly in addition to the poor communication on the issue. I’m rooting they have an incredible redemption arc
