Still new to the game. Didn't understand why the 'shrinking brain' running out kept leading to me dying at first, but your sanity guide helped me out there haha. I started to go insane and I almost died then found a bunch of flowers. Voices started to dissipate and sanity started coming back. If u done mushrooms before it felt like I was coming down from a trip.

Not sure if the shadow amulet was released before or after the release of this video. But i think it’s good information for players that wish to farm nightmare fuel at will without going into the ruins during a nightmare cycle. The shadow amulet instantly drops your sanity to 0 when equipped. This makes farming nightmare fuel quite convenient. It also regains your sanity when unequipped.

I've played the game for a while but wanted to check if I missed anything, this is definitely useful since I tend to play as Willow (80 less maximum sanity)

raw green caps take 50 sanity, but if you cook them you will get 15 sanity , so is the cap that takes you the most sanity but also gives you the most sanity if cooked, also is pretty good to have raw blue caps for health and after you eat those you can refill your sanity with cooked green caps, after my sanity drained while beating deerclops i ate 4 coocked green caps and my sanity was full, and i dont uderstand why pro players use blue caps for health and cooked blue caps for sanity because cooked green caps give more sanity and they take less hp,maybe because you find blue caps easier?like the blue mushroom biome in the caves

Going Insane is definitely the most dangerous thing, but it can lead to greater things like Beard Hair(If your not Wilson) and Nightmare Fuel, since both of these can help craft some of the most powerful Items, know how to kite Shadow Creatures and Eat Jerky and Cooked Green Mushrooms while wearing anything that helps with Sanity, or even sleep if your in dire need of Sanity and even health by sleeping in a tent.

Can we take the time to talk about the logic behind shadow creatures. They can get wet which means they are a real thing and not your insanity, but at the same time, only you can see them and no other mob. So, do all of the mobs, other than the enlightenment orb things, have some sort of an agreement on not to kill them? Or is there lore explaining that?

Fun fact: A Shadow Creature that is able to be seen but not yet aggressive towards the players can be aggroed indirectly with the Weather Pain. This can be achieved by using it on some structure or creature which is on the other side of the Shadow Creature. When the projectile is launched, it is able to interact with the Shadow Creature before hitting the other target. This causes it to be aggressive towards the player for a short time. The first time me and my friend played dst we didnt know anything about the game, so we thought IT would be smart and start in spring. And for weeks we got insane all the time and depended on blue and green mushrooms.

Solution to sanity problem: 1. Good food 2. Nice hat 3. Cute lookin' mobs 4. F*** the sanity, I'll farm nightmare fuel

I play Wormwood so i'm constantly replanting trees my teammates chop down so my sanity is always high

I find having your sanity dip too low isn't a super big deal unless you're in the middle of fighting something else, the crawling horrors aren't that difficult to deal with, but if your sanity drops down below ten you are in serious danger, the shadow creatures start to become very powerful, which is even worse considering most characters can't pawn the monsters off on something else

I'm not playing starve together- I'm playing mobile and the shadows don't attack me as long as I don't attack them. There are no hands trying to snatch my light and i see in complete darkness quite well. THANK GOD

I always help along a nice bace goi’n on a diverse server(usually bacon or honey) and like 70% dies to sanity, and me being a wormwood or wurt player, can’t heal from food or meat.

If you have glimmer goop Eat it on a night you will not have any troubles on, just a normal night. Eat it then heal your sanity with glimmer cause he can still heal you even if you have no sanity items on you and you are just standing near your fire.

Just play WX78 in a world with clockworks and then you’ll never die
