The "moon" statue looks like a broken egg. I think that the moon in the sky isn't a living creature, but rather the egg of that creature, which exists elsewhere. It may have hatched recently, with pieces falling down as meteors. The first piece to fall may have been what created wormwood.

Here's a few theories I came up with, theyre just a little something I had some thoughts about but spoiler warning I guess.?: 1) The moon and the shadows are like counterparts. the Moon seems to be in the sky, based around enlightenment, the natural world, Mutation/Transformation and has it's own materials such as Moonrock and Lunar Glass Whereas the shadows are underground, based around Insanity, Technology, The Undead/Artificial Life and the usage of Nightmare fuel and Thulecite The Thulecite tools are hard to make and based around having multiple utilities and lasting longer whereas the Lunar glass tools seem to have a single use purpose and not last as long but a lot easier to craft. Both seem to harness Gems and have their own Altars. On the Full moon, the moon can be used at its max potential, transforming plants and other living things, as well as us being able to use the lunar event to harness its resources. Whereas while the moon is "absent" during a new moon, the shadows thrive in the form of the shadow clockwork. The Overworld is in between the moon and the shadows below, so they balance out there. And if one side were to destroy the other, they would have control over everything. 2) The statue of the moon is missing a chunk of it, its possible that the lunar island IS that chunk That being the reason why we are able to sail on the water The island might have displaced the water, causing it to rise to a reachable level And due to how the moon controls the tides, it seems to have made the water Incredibly less choppy However beforehand, the "Cratered Moonstone" which came out a long time before seems to have a chunk missing as well, so I could be wrong 3) A gem inside a moon stone is used in the lunar portals eye but seems to be living, what else has a gem in it and isn't really supposed to be alive but is due to the power of the moon? Wormwood. What if the introduction of wormwood into Together is because the Moon is using wormwood (without wormwood knowing) to spy on the Overworld, the shadows and the other survivors and see what they are up to, so that the moon can prepare for their (probably unintentional) assault on it. It would explain why Wormwood is a plant (going off my first theory), so obsessed with having friends (the moon wanted to use them to spy on 'Charlie's Warriors') and why he gets upset about the destruction of the natural world (also going off of my first theory)

I dont think stone fruit is a bad food, It is very useful because It does not spoil until you open them, they regrow very fast and they count as a veggie , so you can do pierogi with them! You can even get more of them and replant them, unlike lichen

I don’t know about anyone else, but I like the new boats! It makes you feel like you are controlling an actual boat, with all the difficulties, and you could make a crew of your friends, and become pirates. I understand why they added these and not the shipwrecked ones, because they are encouraging a more multiplayer way to travel the seas. I would really like it if you could link boats together or get a bigger one. Maybe different types as well? With different speeds/durability?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried animating an ancient skeleton on the lunar island?

You should be able to make statues out of moon rock as well as marble. Think about it, "Iridescent Moon Moth Statue." (Completely unrelated, but we desperately need the Shipwrecked overhaul for the oceans, as well as the Shipwrecked boats. Cuz right now the oceans are pretty boring.)

You can use moon glass to make a blue sculpture on the sculpture table. It looks WAY better than stone.

i love the lunar island especially as woody this biome is kind of game breaking during winter you have heatsources everywhere around you can easily use his jesus curse to walk over there in no time put up a lightning rod and spring is covered too since the wetness`s effects can be ignored with heat sources around and its sanity drain if anything only helps you against lunacy only during summer there is no point beeing there in effect a little base over there doesnt need anything keep some grass on you and personally i love building a single pig house over there to be able to farm your occasional pig skin for helmet with the old 4 monster meat currently woodie is my most picked character in public servers and if anything doesnt amuse me i just do this and return with the nice loots to the others now during winters feast with the gift wraps its even better as a side note so far from my experience seasonal bosses and treeguards never seem to appear there too so take a trip to the main lands to challenge them or chill out on the islands the stone fruits can life on public servers or long explorations that much more comfortable too since they dont spoil in their unmined form especially as maxwell i love having them around just drop a couple from your stack for you shadow puppet to keep your belly filled for days in the most hostile outlands while the 3 hp in their cooked form isnt that much maxwells 75 max hp arent either with a wicker in the base its a sure veggie load of foods source all year and a wicker with a maxwell in a heavily trafficed full public server newbies/foodswamps are nothing to worry about they fill all their bellies for minimum ressource and time investment nothing more then let someone pick the bushes and occasionally a read of agriculture turning otherwise chaotic big bases into a walk in the park im sure i didnt mention everything great about it but have fun playing around with this lovely place wich i find the most peaceful of all the biomes

Stone fruit useless?!?! Its food that does not spoil, that puts it right up there with tallbird eggs for supply caches. Toss a pick (or better yet some twigs and gold) in a chest with a few stacks and it will be there 6 years later when you need it. Given that it stacks its likely above tallbird eggs for this (although I'm not shure how many it stacks too). ...Remembers bundling wraps are a thing... ...enthusiasm reduced by 75%.

I recently found something out about the boats. I’ve been using them as land bridges to get from branch to another. However I found out that hounds can jump on the boats and continue to chase you, so there’s that.

I think the reason stonefruit takes so long to grow is that while it IS a bad food source, it's a food source that requires basically zero maintanence (unlike say, berry bushes that need regular refertilisation) AND are also a renewable source of rocks, which is actually a pretty big deal for long-term gameplay servers especially.

Yknow, I thought that this new island was amazing. Aaaaaaaand then I saw the Horror Hounds and the Pengulls.

These are a couple of ideas I got you know the shadow pieces boss fight and if you breaks them on a full moon they are just machines and the new moon is what if you break the figure sketches on the lunar island or moon crater terrain on a full moon you fight some kind of lunar pieces. Also maybe some kind of reverse cave where you float up to the sky or moon. These are just idea and most likely not going to be in the game.

I think that the glass cutter should increase your sanity and the darksword should have half durability drain against lunar enemies so they become true opposites

The size of the boat is kinda perfect considering it's DST and everyone in a server might all want to go together to greener shores. Adding the fact you need a lil room for said crowd to fidget about, the conclusion is that the boats needed to be way larger then what we are used in shipwrecked.

You can make the statues using the new shards of moon glass, they will have the same color as the glass.

Did anybody notice at 11:52 that his Sanity was just rising continuously while on the moon crater turf? I think the turf gives you a sanity boost when standing in it while not on the island.

is that why the waves/ocean is different now? bc irl the moon affects the ocean therefore creating waves, and that is why the dst oceans are so calm now as opposed to how they were? cool touch klei!

i had to bring a lot of food to get to the island so i would not starve i had a paddle and got stuck on the island but i had a pickaxe so i got some moon glass and twigs to make a moonglass axe to get boards to get off the island the island is fun to play around on

Wait, Stone Fruits, when unmined, don't decay, right? So, you basically have self-preserving food if you can get a farm going, and throw some gunpowder or other explosives, and you've got the perfect food source in the game! Just watch out for Disease, if it's enabled.

Quick note: Gestalt is a german word. In english it means something a kin to shade. Like for example if you would see a shady Person in the mist it would be a „Gestalt“
