You should save all the ice you collect. Use it as filler only in cases where you have no other filler, since it never melts when in an ice box. Also once you get a Volt Goat farm you can use it to make ice cream and if you start getting melon seeds you can make melonsicles for quick sanity. This makes it easy to farm nightmare fuel without a nightmare amulet by eating some of glommers goop to go insane and then eating either of those foods to get sane again.

I usually have two frigs or at least one frig that is just for ice. It has been a LIFE saver more than once for me.

Don’t use jerky in the crockpot! It gives lots of health ,sanity, and some hunger. Eat it normally

The permanent stone fire pit is safe. No items will catch fire no matter how close you leave them.

You may know this, but remember to feed pets when they cry, if you dont, they wont learn traits that'll help you throughout the game

Hello, good to see your new season of DST. I'd like to suggest some tips for you to make your life much more easier 1, Massive monster meat: Webber can upgrade spider den to higher tier with 5 silks. So go to forest, upgrade several dens to tier 3, kill dens to get the spider eggs then plant them near base. After that, initiate spider civil war by befriend some spiders and then attack other spiders, they'll fight each other to death. With 6 tier 3 dens, you can kill up to 6x9=54 spiders every day or nearly 30 monster meats. 2, Easy Bacon and Eggs: With Webber and big amount of spiders, you can live entirely by monster meats, especially in winter. 2 eggs and 2 monster meats has 50% chance to become Bacon and Eggs and 50% chance to become Monster Lasagna. Webber can eat Lasagna. Or 2 eggs, 1 monster meat, 1 morsel for 100% chance of Bacon and Eggs. 3, Wetness problem in spring: Umbrella only have 90% water resistance, that's why you can still get wet (just get wet slower) when holding umbrella and standing near fire. This can easily solved by wearing some popular and useful hats like Football helmet, Battle helm, Miner hat, Straw hat, Top hat. These hats have 20% water resistance, and when combine with umbrella can give you 100% protection from wetness 4, Sanity problem: Best, cheap, reliable way to boost sanity is green mushroom planted in Mushroom Planter. You might need around 6 planters, which will give 24-36 green mushrooms each 4 days (faster with rain and instantly with Wickerbottom book). Mushroom in planters perish in Winter (not if planters are in cave), but work in 3 other seasons. You'll need living logs to refuel planters after several harvest, so keep killing tree guards. Other good ways: Tam o shanter from Walrus Camp (best sanity item), Taffy and Sleeping. 5, Health problem: Easiest way is sleeping in Tent (sleeping in rolls won't recover health). Tent gives you 2 health points + 1 sanity point gain per 1 hunger points loss. With Wick, Dragon pie (+40) is the best food for health. 6, Armor: Without Wigfrid, football helmet is surely the best armor since it does not take the backpack slot and when combine with log suit can reduce 96% damage. Since Jas mentioned about this once or twice, I'm not sure why you guys never made and wear one. Just destroy all pig houses you can see in the map and rebuild some houses near base and you can get every pig skins you wanted. 7, Killing spiders: 2 small tips - Don't fight in spider web, stronger green spiders will spawn. Just step on the web, wait for spiders to come and lead them out their web and kill them. You'll only need to fight up to 3 weak spiders at a time. Tips 2: Don't fight spiders in dusk or night when several dens are near. Dozen spiders will come to you. Happy gaming.

Good fucking lord, you don't need to write an essay for them on what to do because first of all; they know how to play the game and the basic premise of it, second of all; let them play how they want and explore the game further for themselves, so you really don't need to give them tips like this, because this is honestly just an eye rolling wall of text. They're gonna likely take it with a grain of salt because of how many other comments are just filled with tips on how they should play it. We're here to enjoy their own play through of the game, not what they should do. So please refrain from backseating and tips if you can. Just enjoy the series

btw you can hold f to attack, you don't need to click on them. also hold control and then F while ur near a butterfly to kill it, they are a good source of health and extra food. also you should probably make tools with flint instead of the luxury golden axes or pickaxdes n stuff

I love this series! You guys are doing great! Seems like you guys have a good feel about the characters you are using. And I agree with Jas' concern for Glommer's flower. Definitely do not want to risk it. If Ash is having an issue with sanity, he could also try the single-use straw roll or multi-use (6x) tent to raise it. The tent can be used by any player, except Wickerbottom (since she has insomnia). Disclaimer: Since Ash isn't using an original DST character, I don't know if the effects will be the same. Just remember to have food readily available!

I was hoping the boys would actually make log suits, but no... dog attack after dog attack they keep running around naked while Jas is the only one actually prepared for any sort of battle. It was cute at first but now it's starting to get a tad annoying. Make some suits, guys, you can't keep relying on Jas forever!

I get it, you guys don't like opening presents. But there is a limited time event right now to get spring chests and it's so difficult watching you getting gifts (Which you only get every 10 hours) and not opening them x_x

We record theses episodes in 2 hour blocks and cut them down to smaller episodes. So we usually get 1 or 2 presents per recording day.

I know, that doesn't address my point. You walked past the machine several times but never open them, which doesn't start the timer going again. Last time this was brought you you just complained about it still being there and it wasn't a big deal. It's mostly jealousy talking because I've been playing a bunch solo cuz no-one will play with me trying to get skins, and you have box's just waiting there XD The events super cool and you can get stuff like artist tunics and dryad skins.

We play DST only once a week, so we're not very concerned with the loot drops. It's understandable if that is something that may irk you in our playthough, but that said we're still learning the core basics of the game and presents is very low on the totem.

They just take two seconds is all, and the constant whistling of 'you can open a present' going off repeatedly can't just be frustrating to me. I understand, you're learning, and you're doing a LOT better than last time, your hound tactics are awesome and your base is looking good. The presents are a minor thing but still frustrating.

Pets are literally immortal, but you can feed them berries to make them glow for a small while. Please don't make assumptions.
