Victory! The DST version of Deerclops has 4000 health vs. 2000 health for single player. I'm not sure that I would recommend using so much gunpowder, nitre isn't that common. Each giant has a sweet spot where you have to put the gunpowder, for Deerclops it's the feet. Putting it anywhere else wastes it. Go ahead and use all the gunpowder in a single pile, not one at a time. Make sure he isn't burning when he dies, the eye will burn. You can also use a fire staff on him. Hit him once, let it burn out for max damage, light him up again. The single player one uses half a staff's charges, try 80% in DST. Finish him off with spears. Jazzy -- once you get a prestihatitator you can prototype a book that puts things to sleep just like a pan flute. Pan flutes require mandrake which is rare. Your tentacle book doesn't have to be used in combat. You can set up a tentacle field where you want and kite Deerclops into it. Setting a contrasting turf with a border makes it easy to remember where the tentacles are. It makes it hard to get the drops, though. I think it's easier to lead him into the swamp, though. Now that you have the eye, make the eyebrella! EDIT: set up a tentacle field by a bunch of rabbit houses and let the bunnymen kill the tentacles -- renewable source of tentacle spikes and the spots you need to make the books.

congrats on killing the deerclops! It was rough but I'm glad you guys survived (please make umbrellas for spring). Rooting for you guys to survive a year and maybe check out the caves in the future.

Tents restore sanity and health but lower your hunger. If you're good on food you should make some tents. Well done killing deerclops!

Some of the comments are aggressive, but I've enjoyed watching your journey from the beginning and seeing your own play style!

Let the spiders kill the penguins then you can get pick up their feathers, meat (get the meat before the spiders eat it though) and egg's or let their egg's rot then you can make explosives from them. I always put a spider nest by some penguins.

Gunpowder does stack, so when Jas placed 5, it would have dealt 5 times the damage. Just make sure you place it close enough to Deerclops to make sure it actually hits him. Try putting it closer to his body while he's asleep rather than his head, because his head doesn't really count as part of the hitbox. Also, in Don't Starve Together, all the bosses have double health, so Deerclops actually takes 19 gunpowder and a couple of hits to kill.

Wow, you guys got lucky that it was a full moon and the dogs didn't attack at the same time as the deerclops! You guys did great despite having to deal with sanity and hunger as well during the fight! (Awesome on Jas to bring food w/ her!) I do wonder how Ash still had a lot of sanity compared to the rest of you during the Deerclops fight.

the fact that you guys can get this far, killing the deerclops and all but stll stuggles if it comes to food and dont know how to deal with shadow monsters is weird hahaha tip: killing shadow creatures is quite easy, dodge them once, him them twice, and repeat. It gives some of your sanity back when you kill them. anyways, keep up the video

There are many easy ways to kill the Deerclops, but thankfully it went well. I'm Glad this show will still continue. :')

btw you can drop a whole stack of gunpowder and blow it up for the full stacks damage

just put all the gunpowder into one stack.... btw nightmare monsters give u sanity when u kill them ( u can get one person insane and let friends kill them to get sanity and nightmare fuel). you should've let the tentacles do more dmg, you only really let 3 tentacles hit him and you summoned like 9. rik really did not need to panic eat all of those meat, he didn't even cook them. (oh yea, set sup some flingomatics before spring/summer before ice runs out)

I just want you guys to know that I'm on the level of Don't Starve skill as you are, or maybe lower. (I play DST the vanilla game and sometimes RoG because no one to play with Together) and I still usually am a wuss and set the world to have high resources and I STILL turn off Deerclops and Krampus because I wouldn't know how to beat him by myself. Now that I've seen you guys do it, I feel like I can turn Deerclops spawn on in my next world, just like I never turned on the Tree Guard guy until I saw how Jazzy beat him by leading him into other stuff and fire in the first season. I guess I'm kinda using you guys like a walkthrough-tutorial! :) Thanks for all the help, and the entertainment. Prices's "Hey, Spaceman!" is seriously the best. It's adorable and I love it. (Also, I found these DST seasons through Price's channel from where I originally am following his adorable Slime Rancher series!)

i’m this is like three years old- i love the series. in the future i would love to see the putting the deerclops to sleep process- the POV we got was just rik running around it made for a very un grand entrance lol. that said idk why apparently ppl are being so harsh abt being good at the game. this is entertainmentZ and none of you have starved sooo : )

I say this every time you guys play this game and I'll say it again. Just bring the Deerclops over to the Dragonfly in the dessert and the Dragonfly will kill him while you just sit and watch. After that just collect the drops and leave. Maybe one day you will read this comment. Although I doubt it.
