I think even years later what people are failing to understand is that she performed FOUR times at these VMA's.. She already proved that she can sing. She gave us a whole ass concert this night. Full of vocals with her ballads, and dance numbers. She ate this entire night up. She didn't have to sing the whole night.

I grew up on Rih but at 30 I realize how much I took for granted her talent and just entire brand. There’s a huge difference between this and the celebs that become viral overnight. She truly developed into an artist and brand of her own. Could never be duplicated she’ll always be THAT GIRL. 😊

30 as well, been a fan since she came into the scene back in 05' when I was 12. She really did came a long way and actually took time to develop herself as an artist and a brand. She deserves a break (or hiatus), she went 10 years straight heavily focused on her career. It annoys me when people (moreso fans) say she retired when that's not the case.
