When I started watching back in 2019, Rudy was under the very capable tutelage of Matt's experience and teaching. Rudy was a good listener but had the most important ingredient of ALL when it comes to learning...desire and patience. Over the last couple of years I've seen Matt turn to Rudy more and more, as a really good teacher will do, and ask HIS opinion in a situation. Trusting Rudy to figure things out has only made him better and better at this. The Wetzels make a great team and "ATTITUDE" is at the forefront of it every time. Y'all got great, positive attitudes and that'll get you very far in life. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the adventure with us.

Watching these takes me back about thirty years in the Army when I was fortunate enough to have a Recovery Specialist in my battery. You can imagine the predicaments young inexperienced drivers in difficult terrain could get vehicles into. Watching the Recovery Specialist safely and efficiently extricate them was a marvel. Rudy, you did a fantastic job of recovering that Toyota without causing any additional damage. My initial thought was that you were going to need to call Trail Mater in to help, but you got it done and made it look easy (it clearly was a very tricky recovery though!). Well done!

I enjoy watching how competent and independent Rudy has become. All of Dave's boys are impressively competent in multiple ways and that makes for good and even meaningful watching. With some training in developmental psychology, I just love watching young people's personalities emerge be "forged in fire" through the journey of life. I'm sorry Rudy, but you still look young to me and normally if I called for a difficult extraction and someone your age showed up I'd say, "Oh great! A kid to pull me out". But you and your brothers have redeemed the younger generation in my eyes. When you're this good, they call you Mr. Rudy!

I like Matt's positive attitude in the beginning. It's really easy in work like this to develop a superiority complex and start looking down on all your customers for not having better equipment or making mistakes, but how does that help anyone. You just end up bitter and your customers can sense it so they don't like you either.

Single recovery vehicle, only 2 guys, awesome recovery. Kudos to Rudy on this one. Looked way worse going in than he made it look getting him out. I have learned a LOT about how to get people un-stuck from watching these vids, and learn more every time. BTW, can't wait to see the next update on the monster wrecker. Wonder what the body is going to be...

I'm really impressed with Rudy pulling that Truck out from sideways. There were so many ways to damage that vehicle more, But Rudy was careful, made a multi-phase plan, and methodically eased that truck out of there under complete control at all times. And what makes that amazing is that for most people that was a two wrecker pull to do the same thing. But Rudy used the same concepts with one vehicle. Good for you buddy! Databyter

Great job Rudy! You guys did a bang up job - not denting his car. Situations can be really dynamic at times. You just have to be adaptable. When you say let's get em out, you're truly committed at that point. You could have left it there but being sideways is not natural for a car and it causes damage over time. You made the commitment and followed through like a champ. You had a good crew and got some good footage. The level of stress was palpable at one point. You stuck to your guns and got to witness yet another victory. 👍 Matt's recovery looked like it took place on Mars, involving the fanciest mobility scooter I've ever seen! 😂😂😂😂
