If there's a 1% chance the thief decides it's not worth trying to locate the airtag and choose instead to move on to other things, you get your motorcycle back for the cost of a couple cups of coffee. Seems better than nothing.

These arguments are dumb. It doesn’t ping immediately when there’s an AirTag following. And if they stop to tear the bike apart, that’s great because they’re stopped and you can catch up. It’s not perfect but it’s $30 with no annual fee for 90% functionality.

Your point is interesting. Like many people, you assume that someone is stealing your bike while you’re out at a cafe, where you notice only minutes after it’s taken. But what about in the middle of the night? Or on vacation? You’re only going to notice when you check your “where’s my” app on your iPhone, or get back home from Hawaii to see your bike missing. Sure, it’s better than nothing. I agree. But in certain situations, not by much.

@@JacobBaldry It has a feature that notifies you when it leaves a certain spot. So you can notice before casually checking your find my iphone app. Disable the speaker and hope they ditch it before you find them. Whats your alternative?

As a thief i dont take my phone with me. Police can track my moves where i was. They can see Months back in time so i always turn it of when i do some crimes 😊

That’s great, if you can avoid being around anyone else in public that has an iPhone … it doesn’t just ping off of the thief’s iPhone … it pings off of literally everyone with an iPhone that come near it.

That motorcycle is beautiful. I have a 1976 cb750f . Who do recommend for restoration especially here in California or within one state. We have one here in Sacramento. Vintage Monkey. He quoted me around $8000.00 which sounds about right since in full restored form they go for $8000.00-. $10,000.00 thank you

Lol no need. The point is that it’s far too short a distance for me to rely on an iPhone being within range. Get outside the city. Suddenly 250 feet or yards isn’t that different when the nearest iphone is 5 miles away… bub.

It doesn't tell them it's tracking w them immediately... It gives you time to see where the bike is... And you don't put one on the bike then it's not tracking anything and the bike is gone... Good luck

Annual fees are nearly impossible to avoid for true GPS. The cell service charges a fee, so it has to get passed on. It’s like saying you want phone service without a monthly payment plan. Verizon can give you a cheap phone, but you will always have to pay for the signal. Same here.
