Vinegar and Baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate did not work in your demonstration because the standing water diluted the acidity of the vinegar; therefore it did not work. You have to remove any standing water in the bowl first.

This worked for me I followed his directions and also plunged after 30 mins the water went straight down… thank you saved me $200

I used this morning 9/9/23 lol Baking soda vinegar, and I used some dish soap Dawn.. let stand for 30 minutes poured hot water not boiling water and poured the hot water in and flushed .. I do hv a plunger just to ensure it went down I did 1 plunge and it went down fast lol I’m sure about the plunger. It would’ve worked, but I wanted to make sure thank you so much for your video. I’m actually sending this to a neighbor lol 😂

You have to USE a Plunger after the 15-20 minute WAIT after You put the Baking Soda & Vinegar in the Toilet Bowl, and I also added Dawn Dish Soap. After the water got down to the bottom level, I still waited another 15 minutes and then FLUSHED. IT FLUSHED.

OMG he put the plunger right on the floor front of the sink 😮, that’s a big no no for me. Yikes 😬 once a plunger been used on a clogged toilet, it should be on a small plunger tray, it should never be placed where people will likely step, that germs going every where in the house, possibly bed too…that’s NASTY 🤢 You might as well not clean the toilet seat or toilet it’s no big deal for you.

Vinegar, baking soda and boiling water ABSOLUTELY works!! The only exception would be if any objects other than toilet paper and waste were involved.

The reason the vinegar and baking soda didn't work in your other video, is because you are supposed to use it at a 1 to 1 ratio, let it sit at least an hour, and chase it with hot water. I was hoping you were going to show us how to not call a plumber

I've also watched and read that the order in which the baking soda, vinegar and hot water are used is going to be extremely important but I don't remember so now, of course, I'm gonna have to look that up, lol

I've used hot water with shampoo and/or body wash and it's worked every single time.

I absolutely determined what was causing my toilets to clog periodically. Costco Charmin toilet paper! Each individual sheet of Costco Charmin toilet paper is larger than it needs to be. Simply compare it to paper from the supermarket. If you have newer toilets that use less water but apply more pressure to the flush, this most likely is not a problem. But I have old style 50 year old toilets in my house and my parents have one of the early low water usage toilets (25 years old) and the Costco Charmin paper is 100% the problem. My parents built a house 25 years ago and all three toilets constantly stopped up. They replaced 2 of them and those 2 have never been a problem since- and they are severely addicted to Costco Charmin. I use the leftover guest toilet and it stopped up with each flush until I bought normal sized paper for that room only. I still have to be careful but rarely have to plunge. My own toilets are not a problem at all so long as I avoid Costco Charmin. I'm not certain if the Kirkland brand presents the same problem.

Can someone please tell the toilet paper in my toilet that it was supposed to dissolve in 30mins? I think it has executive disfunction and has lost track of time.

I repeatedly have clogs that take multiple days, if I don't do violent, floor / room shaking toilet plunger work that just gets things everywhere and is incredibly gross. Just happened last night & my hand still hurts from holding the plunger so tight for at least 30 minutes of work. I think I have some kind of permanent blockage in the "trap" that you reference. Is it possible to rent a toilet snake or auger? Or is a plumber my only option, who is probably just gonna tell me it's just the smaller pipes people use these days in buildings built in the last 10-15 years?

Erm . . . it's a toilet, so the chances of the blockage culprit being a piece of plastic vs a turd, my money's on the latter. I don't know why he sounded so surprised like "what the hell are feces doing in the toilet ? unbelievable !" And, you need to have lived a littlle more if you really think a stool will have softened from blocking type hard to flushable in just two hours.

My toilet has been having difficulty flushing completely for the last 6 months or so. I used a plunger on it and a toilet auger and it seemed to get better for a while but still fails to completely flush sometimes. I fear there is a small toy or something in there. Or maybe my kids are bigger now and they need to eat more oatmeal…

Never in a million years would I use soda and vinegar to unclog a toilet - that's what a plunger is for. However, soda/vinegar does work on the stains - as demonstrated in your video. Soda/vinegar will also unclog a shower drain (hair/soap) or a slow kitchen drain (food /grease) but it doesn't work if there is standing water, because the water dilutes the reaction.

It ruined my toilet and took the finish off. The finish is still floating in the toilet everytime I use it years later now. Worst thing I ever did. I suffer every time I see the porcelain floating away.

This is not good for a toilet. You have too much water to dilute the process. This does work in a kitchen or bathroom sink. You put the bacon soda in a sink with no water and then a combo of small amount of hot water and white vinegar.
