Our PERCEPTION of time is linear, but that does not make it the universal truth. In Sanatana Dharma, science is a subset of god (god is the universe). Who knows when the first sages lived, and attained oneness with the universe thus comprehending its truth? it could be 10,000 years ago, it could be 100,000,000 years ago, it just cannot be explained with linear understanding.
